Great staff members and tasty food If it wasn’t for the staff this place would receive 1* … the hotel is in need of a complete revamp rooms are dated and falling apart. Outside the walls are crumbling and looking crusty . The flowers in the baskets are dead . The patio furniture needs a lick of paint and a rub down . Pot holes all over the car park , seems like they need a maintenance team to sort these problems as I’ve seen on other reviews about the decor and so on On to a brighter note The breakfast was really nice lots of different selections our evening meal was really delicious too the salt and pepper squid and belly bites was really tasty along with our mains . Could do with some more dessert options. Amanda , Lisa and Ali was fantastic Tia at reception was also welcoming and kind .

Second visit Our second visit here, for 2 nights this time, after an overnight break just after Xmas last year. We love the grounds, the spa and swimming pool facilities, and the food is good, especially breakfast. We had a privilege double room with lake view, however you can’t really see the lake through the trees but that’s not take away the good views of the fields and surrounding greenery. Room was decent, a little tired but very clean and comfortable with an Nespresso machine, bathroom on the small side but functional. Very helpful on reception, especially Steve. Restaurant staff in general were all very professional, friendly and welcoming, special mentions for Debbie, Amanda & Alison. However, our only gripe was that we had to wait 45 minutes for our starter on the first night, and then another 20 minutes for our main, slight improvement on the 2nd night but still quite slow. We also saw many dishes being brought out by other younger members of staff to wrong tables and a general feeling of chaos at points, kitchen staff issue maybe? and when one of my meals was almost slammed in front of me, elements of it came off the plate onto the table, the apology did not seem very sincere. The bar, my partner went to the bar whilst I went back to our room to collect some bits, by the time I came back down she had only just been served, she told me afterwards that Debbie from the restaurant came over to serve in the end, my pattern had stood there for 5 minutes with no bar staff to be seen, thank you Debbie. We will be back but are hoping the service is quicker

Do not stay here ! We checked out after an hour Checked out without staying ! Horrific room , curtains hanging off , dusty and dirty . The room was like a sauna ! There was an ancient fan in the cupboard that did nothing to make better , pillows wafer thin ! After seeing room went to check if anything with AC available , told none have and hotel was full , I asked if any other hotels nearby and was told they were all full as they had been requesting rooms from this hotel ( lucky folks who dodged a bullet not getting one ) we checked out after an hour , was another lady asking if they had a cooler room at reception being told she had a fan in the cupboard ! This hotel is not habitable I am also reporting to the authorities responsible for monitoring this facility .
