Good Bang For Your Buck A great stay! The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. Breakfast had a nice variety of options. The location was very convenient to bars and restaurants, shuttle stops, and the Village. Ryan at the front desk was incredibly helpful, attentive, and accommodating.

Very dated property needing infrastructure reinvestment Pro; slightly below price of nicer properties in town and bed was comfortable. Cons; Bathroom and hotel room walls scratched up badly, floors in need of cleaning and two plug outlets in room not working at all. Awkward checkin, must park in downstairs garage and take elevator to lobby. Parking spaces cannot accommodate anything but compact vehicles

No working Carbon Monoxide detectors This is a Quality Inn so my expectations were met as far as basic amenities and quality. The indoor parking was a plus given the snowstorm. The hotel was quiet and near restaurants. The rooms were spacious compared to a Motel 6. Breakfast was decent and not crowded even during a holiday weekend. The room flooring was updated. The bathroom was worn but in working order. The front desk was courteous and apologetic for issues I experienced but unable to resolve my issues. My subsequent emails to the General Manager went unanswered and I could not reach him by phone. DANGEROUS CONDITIONS: Our Carbon Monoxide detector which plugged into the outlet was defective. It would blare loudly overnight and woke us up several times. Staff acknowledged they did not work; The "solution" offered by the front desk was to unplug it and go without a CO detector. This was NOT a ceiling mounted 10 year battery life CO detector that one sees in most California properties. Very dangerous situation given every room was running gas heaters. Also, our first floor windows hand a grate/bar over them without a latch to open from the inside. The only point of egress would be the room door. Until these issues are resolved, I would not stay here again.

Need to do something about the bad odor This hotel is worn out, as expected for being a low budget chain. The location is great, on the main street right next to the pizza place and ski shops. But what stood out is the terrible musty odor, as soon as you walk in to the lobby, and then a different weird musty "cheap motel odor" in the rooms. Even our kids noticed it right away and started talking about the smell. We made it better by opening the room window for a while. Hotel management really needs to do something about this. Maybe the people who work there don't notice because they get used to the smell. But when you step into the place the first time, it's a nasty musty odor that cannot be ignored.

No Quality in this place! Was not informed that they hadn't turned on the gas for their room heating system. The phone does not connect to the front desk so had to walk down stairs to complain about no heat (34 degrees outside.) The desk clerk handed me, and the other guest complaining, a small electric heater and said "this should keep the room warm", and agreed that someone should have mentioned the lack of heat when we checked in! The floor was spongy and tiles were spread and coming loose! I asked for a refund and was told that they couldn't do that! Not a good experience!!
