Restful stay Really had a good experience at Mammoth Creek Inn. Staff was very friendly, helped use choose eats. I lost my fish rod and the staff helped look, but then found it later, my wife found on my driveway. Gracious hosts, really was an Inn experience and not a motel. Quite restful sleep. Lived our stay.

Good night's stay We overnighted at the Mammoth Creek Inn during a long drive from Boulder City to Yosemite. The inn very much had that ski-lodge vibe to it. Lots of wood, a large common area/lounge to one side of the reception area. Our room seemed rather small, but again if one is in town in winter to ski, that's probably no big deal. Comfortable, and there was no road noise at all during the night to disturb sleep. The Inn didn't offer breakfast, but that was no sweat since there was a restaurant "The Stove" (reviewed separately) right across the street. There is parking on the south side of the Inn by the main entrance (though no ramp to the front door). Overall, a nice stay and a rather refreshing change from the ubiquitous chain hotels.

Adequate My "standard" room was very small. Fortunately I was traveling by myself as it would not have worked for two people. There was only one chair and no closet only a clothes bar mounted in the room. The bathroom was small as well. No breakfast. It was overpriced but that was my experience overall in Mammoth Lakes. Gas was $5.59 a gal. (It was $6.50 in Lee Vining.) The office telephone often went unanswered. I requested an early arrival and when I called in route, they said my room was ready...it wasn't

Decent mid-level hotel Basic room was clean. They have a hot tub in basement and a pool table - both unusual for a mid-level hotel. Also have a huge sitting area with books, magazines where a group could hang out [and even eat take-away]. They do not have breakfast, but there is a place within a short walk.

Simple stay at a good price We actually stayed in January 2022 but it would not let me select that date. This inn was simple, no frills, but we didn’t really need any. Just needed somewhere clean and safe that didn’t cost and arm and a leg, just somewhere to lay our heads after skiing. Only the most simple rooms were available as week booked pretty close to the trip date, but on the morning of our check out we saw some of the suites/larger rooms available as they were being cleaned and they looked really cool. My main issue was them not having a microwave in the room. This is just a basic element that all hotels should and usually do have. Especially if you are going to have a mini fridge where you might stash left overs, you should have a microwave. Or what if you just want to reheat your coffee? If they could make that simple upgrade I think all their guests would appreciate. Otherwise I had not complaints about our stay. It was warm, clean, and quiet. Great inexpensive stay.
