Best hotel in Managua / RESTFUL SLEEP! I travel frequently and all over… and the Real Intercontinental surprised me with one of the quietest room experiences out there. I couldn’t hear neighbors, guests above, noise outside… or even housekeeping. That is rare, even in five star establishments. The rooms are comfortably sized and well-appointed. The bathroom is nice and clean, with excellent plumbing, pressure, and temperature. There is a glass separator — no shower curtains, of course. Lighting is great and there is a lit vanity mirror. Amenities are very good… and the bedding is excellent. You can ask for hypoallergenic bedding but you may have to double-check the pillows. Wifi is solid! There are 4 restaurants, which is a lot for a medium-sized hotel. The sushi and steak places are considered top-10 in the city. Breakfast is quite good… the omelettes were great, but coffee is just OK (common in Managua), as often were the plantains (rarely truly ripe). Fruit selection was good, but it wasn’t all consistent. With so much to choose from, I believe that they should not serve those which are not on point. The lobby is a tad outdated, but it is still nice. The staff is top-notch, from housekeeping to front desk. Management has that perfect mix of true professionalism and warmth. The hotel’s location is very central, but traffic in all of Managua has gotten quite heavy. It takes 15-30min to get anywhere, even if it is a few blocks away. This is a city-wide issue… infrastructure is decades behind… roads are not in great shape and driving education is deficient. Whatever the case, this is probably the best hotel in the entire city — don’t hesitate to book your stay!

Horrible experience. They have bias It's too expensive and it's not even worth it. The security personnel always treat you like if you were in jail. You pay $800 for a suite per night and still you need to ask for permission every time you want to enter the pool. They can treat you bad just because you are sat at the pool zone with a refresher from the mall's coffee shop, like if it was a big deal. I had to get a refresher from the coffee shop because the food here is TERRIBLE. Too expensive and it's not even good. It is so outrageous how they treat you, like if you were an intruder. Room service is not efficient. You have to wait too long to get the room clean. The Presidential suite at this hotel is way too small to cost almost $900 per night and it barely has a little coffee maker. The furniture is too average to be for a "Presidential suite". I don't even know why they call this hotel a "luxury" one. Please do not stay or you will regret it.

DO NOT STAY HERE! YOU WILL REJECT IT! This place was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. I felt as if I was in a jail cell, being monitored by security enforcement and hotel personnel. The personnel will monitor your every move throughout the hotel. I found a few cockroaches in my room. The gym smells and is small. The air conditioner does NOT work, and the property is old in general. The cleaning is NOT good. The food and room service is subpar and the people who work in the hotel, including but not limited to the manager, assistant manager, and pool manager are bitter and disrespectful to guests. The personnel working at the property will scream at you and treat you like children. It was the WORST and most humiliating experience I have ever encountered in my 70+ country visited journey. Honestly, as an avid traveler, who is a valued member of this hotel brand, do NOT stay here. You will reject it. It is too expensive and it is NOT worth it. You will be better off at another hotel. Thank you!

Good hotel in Managua A nice hotel in Managua located right next to the Metromall. It's a all around decent hotel but nothing spectacular. I liked that they offer a taxi service which is able to be charged to your room or through credit card. The business center is nice with 3 computers to use. I did not like that they did not have any bottled water at the front desk when I asked for some as you can't drink the tap water in Managua.

Perfect Example of What an InterContinental Should Be I was very impressed with my stay in February at the Managua InterContinental hotel. This hotel was exactly what an InterContinental hotel should be--an oasis of tranquility and comfort in the midst of everything else that is going on outside its walls. The employees were very friendly--major shout out to all the great staff at the Italian restaurant in particular! Housekeeping did a great job--my room was perfectly clean with good quality linens and toiletries (love Byredo!) as well as amazingly comfortable beds. Air conditioning worked like a charm and got as cold as you wanted it--which considering how swelteringly hot Managua is, you'll definitely come to appreciate the great air conditioning! The building is well maintained, secure, and conveniently located. I'd definitely be more than happy to return and would highly recommend others stay here as well should they be staying in Managua.
