Must stay! What an amazing, welcoming, and creative place for humans and pets!. Every single person who works there goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. Seriously my favorite place. Can’t wait to stay there again. Thank you for everything , Melissa and the rest of the team!

The Battenkill Valley Mansion: A Wonderful Place for our Yoga Retreat! This summer I rented the Battenkill Valley Mansion for our yoga retreat. We had 21 guests who were all thrilled with the charm of the house and the property. The kitchen was well-equipped and a joy to work in with 2 gas ovens and two dishwashers! There was plenty of seating for all of our guests both inside and out. We especially enjoyed the fire pit area where we held a fire ceremony, and the space for yoga was the perfect size, bright and cozy. The location of the mansion was also perfect for our group. Many enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, shopping, and visiting Abraham Lincoln's grandson's mansion nearby. The owner of the mansion is an absolute delight and made the arrangements and check-in process so easy for us. She was attentive to all our needs at a moment's notice. I highly recommend the Battenkill Valley Mansion for any large gathering you might have!

Corporate Retreat - Wilburton Mansion & Battenkill Valley Mansion Twice a year, the company I work for organizes offsite retreats for the whole team. We are all fully remote so opportunities to see each other in-person are rare. When we are able to get together, we look for locations where employees can have their own rooms and privacy while still offering areas for us to gather together and enjoy meals, games, and spontaneous interactions with one another. For our most recent retreat earlier in July, we rented out both the Battenkill Valley Mansion and the Wilburton Mansion. Starting with the obvious, both mansions are beautiful. The Wilburton Mansion is especially striking architecturally and offers more space for large groups in common areas. However, I personally liked that the Battenkill (located roughly .8 miles from the Wilburton Mansion) was surrounded by trees and felt secluded and private. Each mansion has its own charm and I was glad to have a chance to experience both. In total, our group numbered around 24 people. Between the Battenkill and the Wilburton Mansion, we were able to assign rooms so that all our employees had access to their own bathrooms which, for a company offsite, is a huge plus. There was also plenty of space for us to gather together in common spaces. Outside of work and mealtimes, our group enjoyed the variety of amenities available on the Wilburton grounds. The fire pit, yard games, and pool were particularly popular with the team. We also had the chance to take a deeper dive into the sculptures around the property with Albert Levis, who was very engaging and welcoming while he toured us around. From a logistical perspective, I also appreciated how responsive Melissa and Tajlei were as I was helping to plan the offsite. We brought a chef with us to cater the retreat and Tajlei was invaluable in talking through necessary arrangements with him. Melissa took plenty of time to discuss options with me during the planning process, which could be complicated at times. Whether we needed help with shipping supplies, setting up the right tech capabilities for people join us via Zoom, or working through kashering the kitchen, everyone we interacted with was so helpful. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and I only wish it could have been longer.

Wonderful experience Accommodations were nice. Room was comfortable and quiet. The grounds are spectacular. Many pieces of outdoor art to admire. We stayed at the Wilburton Inn to attend a wedding there. Can’t imagine a better wedding venue and the service, drinks, food, and entertainment were fantastic. All made for a very memorable weekend.

Great springtime stay at the Wilburton, can't wait to return. The Wilburton is simply the loveliest. The main house where I stayed is suffused with character, and the early mornings walking the grounds afforded mountain views for miles and the most perfect way to start the day. The owners are wonderful hosts and supremely helpful and accommodating. Can't recommend it enough.
