Do Not Trust your “reservation”! Yes, it can happen to you! GM cancelled our reservation 11 months ago and did not inform us! Totally screwed. Slept in the car. NOTHING was done to help. She cancelled us to rebook the whole place at $500 a night to make $$$ for the 2024 total eclipse traffic. Corporate did nothing. We are club members- meant nothing. Still seeing a chiropractor for my back after a horrible time caused by greed and greed alone!!

Don't trust your reservation here Short version at the beginning with more details on the off chance corporate ever looks at bad review and cares. . . Really short version is the management at this hotel is shady and untrustworthy and you can't count on your reservation. Short version is that I made a reservation for the eclipse on the corporate IHG website on the first day they were available to make sure I got a room, so close to a year early, because I thought they would fill up. Received a confirmation e-mail with a reservation number and good to go! Drove 10 hours to the hotel and went to front desk and was told I was not in the system. Called the IHG reservation line it turns out that the hotel itself, not corporate had cancelled my reservation, but they never sent any cancellation or notification. Every other hotel for a 100 miles was sold out so we got to sleep in our car. Longer version for corporate if anyone cares: Reservation number 86207857 Complaint ticket 10541844553 Shady General Manage name is Kaitlin Dorris So when we were at the front desk there was a poor, underpaid, young lady there. I was polite, but firm that I had a confirmation, but there was nothing she could do to get a room. Like I said, every hotel everywhere, including this one, was sold out. Shady general manager nor any other manager ever came out to talk to us. I also know the complaint was sent to the manager, but never heard any explanation why she decided it was OK to cancel my reservation without telling me (it's been almost a week so she's had time to reply if she wanted to). The reason the reservation was cancelled though is because I reserved my room at $115 and they were selling the same room for $500 for the eclipse. Like, I said, shady and untrustworthy! Never had anything like this happen before and I travel frequently for work for the last 30 years.

Last minute booking turned out to be really fantastic! I can honestly say this place saved a long planned family vacation for 13! We needed 7 rooms and had recently found out that a booking made for an entire home at another local resort (paid for in full a year ago) , had been cancelled on us due to the resort overbooking. We were so shocked and disappointed and worried our trip would have to be cancelled. Last minute options were extremely limited for the 2024 eclipse. We were relieved to get rooms in a single hotel, but we had no idea what to expect. We had never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. We were thrilled with the result! The rooms were bigger than average, fully refurbished and had plenty of space to lay out multiple suitcases, a closet to hang plenty, a mini kitchen area with a decent sized mini fridge and microwave and some shelf space to store food on. It even had a little entry area with a shelf to easily drop (and find!) your keys on each day. That was a nice touch! The bed was comfortable and also had a desk, side chair, sofa and coffee table. We had no problem with noise even though we happened to get a room directly across from the elevator. Bathroom was large and shower was great. It looks like a fixed head, but there is a switch on the right side to select different types of water streams. The personnel were outstanding. The front desk clerks (wish I had made note of their names) went above and beyond to help our group have space to socialize on our own, offering us a meeting room for meal time and game play. They were proactive in this regard, we truly appreciated their effort and attention. There are lots of eating areas close by and parking, despite it being a very busy weekend, was never a problem. The only thing that was a bit off (probably due to it being so full) was that they didn't have enough card keys to offer each room two cards and one of our rooms with four people in it couldn't get a fourth set of towels. But, we were able to give them one from within our group. I would not worry about this happening normally, we were there at a very busy time. I'd definitely stay here again and will now look for Holiday Express hotels for future visits during travel.

Beware - Does not honor confirmed reservations This hotel cancelled my eclipse reservation and wanted me to rebook for multiple nights at three times the rate. The management of this hotel did not block online reservations to require customers to sign contracts for $549 per night, 3-night stay minimums. So they cancelled all legit reservations already made through the corporate web site. Disappointed in the brand for allowing this.
