Not our first choice but decent We come to Marion annually and stay at other hotels . Because of weddings and a huge contingent of Chinese our hotel was booked this night. They are not dog friendly as so many hotels are now but my wife has a service dog so it wasn’t an issue. Their location is close to businesses travelers may need . Their lobby is very inviting. The place has some wear which didn’t bother me that much . The carpets were old and kind of dirty but not a big deal either. The beds were really comfortable. The TV channels were really good as well . The coffee was warm not hot . The breakfast was about the same as everywhere else . And all I eat is cereal so again no big deal . They don’t have decaf coffee which my wife drinks . The elevator is really slow. The staff seemed very friendly. The place is East Indian owned which from my experience means they won’t do much to improve the location. Overall the room was fine but not the level Country Inn tries to project.

There has to be a better option. Ok if you need a place to lay your head and leave. The positives stop there. Whole room had a lingering smell, chair was covered in damaged, peeling vinyl, refrigerator was unusable and smelled of rancid meat. NO response from management. Don't waste your money.

1 star Continental Breakfast I give this a 2-star rating due to their continental breakfast. I don't normally review places, but the breakfast was so awful. My husband and I and our children threw most of the food away. And I do not have children who are picky eaters. If you stick with just eat the breads...bagels, cold cereal, toast, etc., you'll probably be fine. But the sausage, potatoes, and eggs were quite disgusting. Cold, hard potato chunks, greasy rubbery sausages, and nasty eggs... Based on their breakfast, we would not stay here again.
