The wet dog smell in the hallways, stairwells, fitness room, and guest room was breathtakingly strong The lobby looked new compared to the rest of the hotel. There's only one elevator at each end of the long hallway of the hotel, and they're very slow so a lot of guests use the stairs. The stairwells, hallway, fitness room, and the guest room I stayed in stunk so bad like wet animal hair it didn't really feel like I was staying in a hotel. More like a barn. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Room was fairly clean, though the bed comforter was stained. Staff quickly gave me a clean one on request. The carpet looks old. That combined with the smell makes me wonder if this hotel used to be a kennel and they just never changed the carpet when it was converted into a hotel.

Don't go to Westport location!!! Overall, the hotel was dirty, and disgusting! The beginning of my nightmare was the mixup of my King Suite vs King room. We traveled from Texas to St Louis and since that is my home city , I had higher expectations for the hotel. I've stayed at many LaQuinta Inns that location was the worst. The 3rd floor smelled like animal urine, there was live _ in the refrigerator area. The tub had a permanent dirt ring, hole in the wall hidden by a chair, and the African behind the desk was rude and unfriendly! I regret paying partial cash for the room because I want all my money back! After seeing those roaches I was outdone! I thought Wyndham was one of the nicer brands of 2 star hotels but we found out the Westport location was a lower class of the low class! _

Terrible rooms Peeling paint, mold, leaking drains in the bathroom, corroded faucets no hot water in the morning room smelled bad.Door lock broke. We switched rooms 3 different times. The first room had the mold and peeling paint. The second room we thought was OK other than the smell till we got Moved in and discovered the bathroom sink Drain was broken The final room had the broken door lock and the corroded faucet. I know we should’ve left, but it was late and my wife is disabled and was tired from traveling.

Roach hotel. Literally. Arrived and there was no remote in my first-floor room. Big yellow stain in the bottom of the bathtub. Wifi didn't work (kept leasing me a 169.x.x.x IP address). TV mount was broken, and TV tilted pitifully. That much sucked, but... When I got back later that night from a concert, my room was full of ROACHES. Went to the front desk, and the night clerk only offered to move my room TWO DOORS DOWN. She blew off my request for a refund. Again, it was later at night, so my friend and I thoroughly inspected the second room and it *seemed* clean, so we stayed there. We skipped breakfast. --You know, because of the roach infestation. I thought reviews looked generally okay and this property wasn't listed at a price point where I would expect roaches in our room. Boy, was I wrong. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Key cards don’t work and moldy room We had to visit the front desk multiple times a day to be able to use our cards. Also our bathroom had mold in the corner. If I noticed when we checked it, I would have vacated the room but we checked in very last from a 16 hour drive. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
