Terrible beds The bed was THE most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever attempted to sleep in. The obnoxiously small pillows didn’t help much either. Thought it was at least clean until I finally gave up on sleeping and went to take a shower only to find a very large clump of hair in the tub. Wasn’t expecting a spectacular hotel with it being a small college town but the bed was so much worse than I could have imagined. Would definitely prefer to just drive the 2 hours back & forth to my house next time.

Ok Restaurant was really good. Disappointed that there was not a lot of choices of outside electric to charge boat batteries. Maybe they do this to discourage fishermen from staying there. Was surprised there was no elevator to second floor. Not the steps are a problem but draging luggage up and down steps isn't ideal.

Clean but not great hotel Currently in hotel when I’m writing this, Hotel is clean, doing some construction/remodel which I understand but biggest complaint is our room has an odor, needs to have dehumidifier run for few days to get rid of smell. Not sure if our room has already been remodeled but if so does not give impression of remodel/updated. Furniture looks as if bought from out of business hotel and not new for a remodel job, etc. Again room seems to be clean but the humidity Odor is pretty significant even after we left AC running for 2-3 hrs while we went into town. Apparently same owner has sister hotel in other end of town(can’t remember name) but we have stayed in other hotel which is dated but no smell and was clean also. If I had to choose I’d stay at other location next time just because of odor & humidity in room. We have room booked her next month for Parents weekend and hope it’s a better room.

July 2021 We have stayed here for a family reunion every year for a few years. Disappointed that the pool was closed. No mention of it when the reservations were made the month prior. We’ve always liked having that option in case of rain. The breakfast area was sorely lacking. The breakfast area was also closed and moved into a hotel room. We don’t find paying a little more to have a meal included, but there was not much or they don’t restock through the morning. Housekeeping knocked on the door about nine, asked if we needed towels for the day and left. The air conditioner did work well. It kept the room nice and cool and it was quiet when it ran. When we arrived the room was clean. The staff was friendly and even allowed us to check in a couple hours early which was appreciated. The “advertised” rate o line was “starting at” $74/night. We paid $125.00 a night for a room with 2 queen beds, but the lack of amenities available made the cost seem like it was not worth it.
