Hits all the Points The room was clean and odor free. Bathroom was stocked with shampoo. conditioner and body wash. My number one requirement for a hotel room is how clean the room is and how it smells. I have had pretty good experiences with most of the Hampton Inns. The bed was comfy and fresh. I will stay here next wrestling season when I'm in town. Location is also a plus. Eateries on both sides and supermarket behind it. Staff was all pleasant and friendly. I don't write reviews. If you stay here, you wont regret your decision.

Management Needs Emergency Protocol A consistently good, solidly clean hotel with nice staff, as I have been staying here for years. However, last week after checking in I cut my hand badly in my car out in their parking lot. I managed to wrap a clean rag around it to help stop the bleeding which was pretty bad. Calmly walked up to the front desk and asked if the young person could please find me an urgent care. He couldn't understand why I could not use my phone to do it myself. Finally gave me incorrect and vague directions which were wrong. I drove around for a hour until a good Samaritan had me follow him to an Urgent Care in Toledo. This was a 3 hr. ordeal. When I mentioned it to management in the morning, she said I should have called an ambulance (overkill) or looked one up myself on their non existent information sheet. There were four other people who saw these interactions and were also astounded that there was not basic/common sense training for an emergency medical protocol. Just putting this out there as a warning if you think someone will come to your aid. Most people staying at a hotel are obviously not familiar with an area, or are too ill/ injured to help themselves.

Free breakfast could use an update. There were no fresh fruit options the 2 times we stayed here in July 2024. The room design is fine, the mattresses need updating. We experienced sore backs after staying. The breakfast didn’t have any fresh fruit options both times we stayed in July 2024. The yogurt could be expanded to include low sugar or Greek yogurt. Compared to many other Hampton Inns the breakfast was disappointing.

Going downhill We have stayed here several times while visiting family in Toledo and it has gone significantly downhill. Room seems worn. Ceiling is dirty. They say they do housekeeping services every other day of your stay, but they did not clean our room. Called down to get fresh towels when we got back after a long day of a memorial service and dinner, and were told if we wanted fresh towels we had to come get them ourselves. Really disappointing and frustrating experience. If we knew we had to ask for our room to be cleaned, we would have just done it when we left to see family this morning.

Some good, some bad A different layout than most Hampton's. Very workable, but a little less space. Very new or just very clean. Lumpy bed. Great shower. Horrible desk chair. Good breakfast. Close to good restaurants and a grocery store. Great access to I-80.
