Need to clean better Behind the bed if u move the mattress it needs to be clean under headboard. Know Mrs. Gloria made me fell at home give her a raise font lose her she make the best cookies an put love in to everything she is dont they dont vome like her often. So make sure u guys keep her happy

Best stay Gloria is absolutely amazing. She makes sure that you eat she makes the food love and you can tell. She is attentive to everyone. Helpful and just makes the hotel brighter. I look forward to my next stay here just so I can see what she will do next.

Great Stay at Homewood Suites McAllen I will start by saying I just stayed at the Homewood Suites in McAllen. A lot of the reviews don't seem like a recent stay. I used the digital key and it worked well. I read a lot of reviews about the room or hotel not clean. I felt that our room and the hotel was very clean. I did notice some of the furniture was not fully functioning (dresser drawer could not be opened). I think the maintenance team should be checking every room before guests staying in them. We stayed in room 226. It is in the far back of the property, but had very little traffic going by it. The laundry room was 2 doors away and is open 24 hours a day, but that room has a door on it and was very quiet. There was an elevator nearby, but far enough away that we did not hear it. Yes, there is military and border patrol that do stay here because the border is about 7 miles away. They are very nice and keep everyone safe. The hotel is in a good/safe area with many places to eat nearby. You can walk to Cracker Barrel, Dominos pizza, etc. The 2 room suite had a full size refrigerator, couple burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. It did include a buffet style breakfast, They do switch out the warm items, so it is not the same everyday. They also have an evening social/dinner Monday-Thursday 5-7pm. They had beer, white/red wine and when we were there they had salad, pasta with meatballs and garlic bread. The people running the breakfast and social are wonderful people. We were so impressed by Gloria. She ran the breakfast and was also there for the social/dinner. Gloria puts her hard work and dedication in her job. She goes above and beyond to make her special drink with"love". Gloria is truly an asset to the hotel. Checkout time for this hotel is 12pm (not 11am like most hotels).

Great stay at Homewood McAllen I was in McAllen, TX for business and am glad I chose to stay at Homewood! The staff was friendly and made the stay comfortable. The rooms were cleaned every day. Love that they used Zero% collection for shampoo/conditioner/lotion. The food was hot, and the breakfast crew paid attention to detail. Even the muffins were warmed. Shout out to Melanie Garza at the desk and the breakfast crew!

Amazing thanks to Giselle! The front desk was amazing to be specific. Giselle helped out so much, and made it so easy and made it feel homey. She definitely deserves all the recognition. 100% will be back! Will definitely be returning!
