Great customer service. I don't write very many reviews as I am in the hospitality business and have pretty high standards. I made a reservation for my daughter to stay at this hotel while she was driving back from college - Pittsburgh to Houston, 1,000 miles. I wanted to post this review because I specifically interacted with the hotel General Manager, Sunshyne Ramson. There were some unexpected events (not the hotels fault but really my daughter's fault), and I needed to contact the hotel after my daughters stay. I spoke with Ms. Ramson and she provided excellent customer service when she didn't have to. She was kind, understanding, even apologetic. She was empathic and did not try to "get every dime" out of me. I find this an exceptional trait and I am sure as she models her leadership skills the entire hotel will benefit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a room in Memphis.

Never Again I expected more out of a Courtyard Marriott property. Pro: Friendly Housekeepers Cons: Cleanliness, Front Desk Staff, unsafe and poor location. I should have switched hotels, after switching rooms 3 times. I'm not picky about my rooms, just give me a clean room and bed to sleep in. These rooms either had dirty/stained bedding, smelled like smoke or door was left open. The hallway smelled like smoke and marijuana.

Unclean room, no response from management After twice messaging the manager of this property, without a reply and with ample wait time, here is the review. We are long time loyal Marriott guests. I would much rather have resolved privately with management. Upon check-in, no advice of modifications regarding pandemic were given. We asked about “grab and go” breakfast (as we have experienced at other Courtyards) and were told no breakfast. The first three things I saw upon entering the room: Dark spot on wall above toilet paper Dark spots on wall below hand towels at vanity Large red spot on carpet at foot of bed A room should always be clean, and especially during this time of the pandemic. I cleaned the spots on the walls (disgusting). The next morning at the vanity, the mirror made visible spots/smudges on the closet doors. There was a large smudge on the TV mount board (which I also cleaned). There were smudges at the top of both mirrors of bedside lamps. Just outside our room exterior was the area where the dumpsters were stored. We were there on trash day, which was collected very, very early and interrupted our sleep. This was an extremely disappointing stay.

REVIEWS ARE TRUE; But experiences are different... Be careful, take heed May 1-3, 2021 The check in process was easy. The young lady that checked me in was really nice. The room was pretty. It took over 2 hours to get the sheets I requested so I can change the bed sheets in my room. I always inspect my room when I stay at hotels and do a wipe down cleaning on my own because I am not sure if they actually clean the rooms, which I was 100% correct this time. Upon getting settled in my room, I noticed my room was not cleaned thoroughly/properly. The microwave was nasty, the sink had not been cleaned, the floor had not been vacuumed, the shower had not been cleaned, the floor in the bathroom had not been mopped, the sheets on the bed had stains on them, there were no clean towels in the bathroom/sink area, and the back of the door was smeared. Even when I got the clean sheets finally, they still were not clean. One of the sheets had a piece of hair on it, and another one had a shoe print on it as if it had been dropped and stepped on by accident, then brought up to my room. I requested another room but the lady said they had no more rooms available. I expressed to her that I am now scared to stay in my room due to the coronavirus and my room was not cleaned properly. She stated she understands, she is sorry, and she is going to contact the housekeeping supervisor immediately. After an hour or so later he came to my room, I showed him everything that I stated above and he half vacuumed my room and cleaned the other things I had stated. But, I didn't stand over him to make sure he cleaned it properly. I also informed him that the sink was draining slowly. His response was, "yea, all of them do that. I'm trying to do this and be the maintenance man because we don't have any help and I am doing the best I can." It's sad that the employees are not held accountable for half doing there work and it is sad that the company is not providing what the staff need to not be over worked and overwhelmed. There was only one garbage can in the room. It should have been one by the bathroom and in the actual room. His response to that is the company won't allow them to order what they need. I am disappointed to the fact that this hotel is advertising keeping their guests safe during this time, where the coronavirus is spreading again, only to find out that it is a lie. Courtyard did not keep its promise to keep me safe. They did not sanitize and properly clean my room to keep me safe. But, they stopped serving breakfast to keep me safe? Really? They advertise on their website that they have breakfast. I was misled. They should post on the site that they are not serving breakfast due to the coronavirus. I chose this hotel partly because they were advertising breakfast included. I am not satisfied or happy with this experience at this hotel. It costs too much money to not receive what I am paying for. I am paying for a clean, peaceful place to relax.

Location is good but rooms are a bit old The location of the hotel is very good if you want to visit Memphis. 15 minutes to downtown and Graceland. Services are very good, only thing is the rooms are a bit old, need to do some rennovation. Around the hotel also got lots of good restaurants.
