Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Memphis Southwind by IHG

Some good, some bad The customer service was very good. We got in late, and the lady was very pleasant. The lobby was clean and in order, so I can't ask for anything more than that. The room we stayed needed attention with upkeep. Light bulb burned out, bathroom grout dirty, you have to put a shoulder into the bathroom door to latch, out of product that when asked for they couldn't get it because it was locked up, and a what I hope was rust stain in the tub. Breakfast was stocked, but items where cold. Nothing the microwave couldn't fix. Sum it up, it was a typical HIE in a big city

First stay impression. We stayed here for our soccer tournament this past weekend. The front desk staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was 'okay'. We had a sofa bed in our room that was awful. It was very uncomfortable and bowed in and came with No bedding. When I called to request some, we were told to come down to get it ourselves. The mattress was dirty and stained. The house keeping walked into our rooms on 2 occasions without warning AND with our tag hanging on the outside handle, stating no service needed. Our hot water also did not get hot. Not warm enough to shower comfortably. After a long day at the soccer fields, this would have been nice. Overall, we would not stay here again. The only positives were the kind lady at the front desk and the short drive to the fields.

Nice hotel but…… Customer service at front desk is ghetto and very unprofessional. Hotel water was off in SOME rooms, not all while snow storm was going on during holiday and when I called to ask for a room with working amenities I was told they weren’t sure of other rooms I asked them to check for me to be certain. Then when I called back few times they wouldn’t answer and when they did I asked for manager and was blatantly hung up on a few more times. I called guest relations while there. Two days later, my stay was 6 days, corporate called me, offered credit on my bill. And offered to move me to another hotel. I declined because I was checking out next day. But water pressure was still horrible but at least toilet worked in the second room they put me in after I called guest relations department

Nice hotel, good location for a road trip We stayed here while on a cross-Tennessee road trip. We only spent a day and a half in Memphis, and this hotel was perfect for that. If we would have spent more time in Memphis, it would have been nice to be closer. But the location was great not having to deal with Memphis traffic as much. Room was clean and breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

The most accurate, honest, and best exemplification of this Holiday Inn & Suites, are those foundations, those core Business ideals, the foundational principles and ethics by which the Sam Walton's, Jack Welch, Warren Buffett, Henry Seessel, and most appropriately, Charles Kemmon's Wilson created Corporations, not with proprietary technology, not with high barriers to entry, or revolutionary patented products; but by simply best serving the customers needs and building relationships which created loyalty. On a personal note, we came here and have stayed here in difficult times, we will be leaving soon, but Roshan your spirit, your character, and how you relate to all of your customers, it is meaningful and it is sincere and it inspires. You have our loyalty, gratitude, and it is your leadership here, your energy transfers to every single employee and customers, and I've said it 100 time; and we know, this hotel is the way every hotel or bussiness should run. No doubt, Mr. Kimmons Wilson would be honored. George, you are all class, your a real gentleman and the best at what you do. Jessica, Tamara, Tina, the entire front desk crew are the most real, kind, professional yet personable we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And the breakfast here, the food is seriously the best. And the entire cleaning staff, thank you for always smiling, laughing and man yall work so hard, but you take real pride in everything. IHG should be honored and should no doubts use your entire hotel the standard by which all others reach to become. If you want to be treated like your valued, your appreciated, in a great location that's safe, quiet, and the best rates hands down, not even close, don't hesitate. And like us, when we do come back in Memphis, this is without question the only place we will ever stay.
