Great location for a great facility With in walking distance of Beale Street, a block off the river this hotel is in a fantastic location. Our room was very clean, the staff welcoming and willing to answer all our questions. (Where is the best barbeque place close by?) Parking was close and reserved for hotel guest use. Everything we want in a hotel.

Met My Expectations I have stayed at this hotel before - maybe before I joined TA. Standard SHS product. The staff were lovely and engaging. The hotel did a fine job with what is the pandemic ‘free breakfast’…. Safe distancing and the staff served the food. My only minor complaint was there was an incomplete set of toiletries, but the staff got the towel count request right.

Toe nails They stuck us in the old part of the hotel, the "historic Kress building". The air conditioning was almost non-existent. Our tiny window included a view of a brick wall. They said they don't clean your room for the duration of your stay but I question even that. Our room had toe nail clippings on the floor by the bed, an empty Gatorade bottle under the table, and one hand towel. There was no shampoo. It included a sofa bed but no pillows. The warm breakfast was good and the two ladies working it were wonderful. The hotel is on the trolley line.

Mediocre hotel We’ve stayed in many SpringHill suites and this one was a little disappointing. It was our first time driving through Memphis and staying a night there so we relied on our GPS, which has us turn into a trolley only street. Freaked us out as well as the people on the sidewalk my husband turned around on. Lol. Check in was fine. Some of the staff was more friendly than others who didn’t much seem to want to be at work. Our family of 5 had two towels and two wash clothes when we got to our room. I called down and was told they only had bath towels. So I went down to get them and the man did give us three more of each. But, when I went back down about ten minutes later to wait on our pizza delivery, another guest was down there asking for some and was told they only had bath towels and no wash clothes that they were out. He took some towels for his room and his parents which he told the man had zero towels in their room. I do not understand how a hotel can run out of towels if any kind. Our room was mostly clean but the shower curtain was covered in mold and I would not let my three year old take a bath there. Half the toiletries were there but the worst were the beds. They were so hard I couldn’t sleep. My husband got up with a back ache and even the kids complained. The price we paid was way too much for this hotel. I have no problem paying for quality and usually do, but this place should’ve been had the price for what it was. Hopefully in the future they will get those things straightened out. It could be a very nice place if they do.
