Definite Diamond The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. Shavella is always willing to help with anything that comes up and always has a welcoming smile. Marie keeps the dining area well stocked even during the breakfast rush. It's always a breath of fresh air to stay somewhere that's comfortable, clean and accommodating.

Great place to stay! We had a lovely experience at Holiday Inn Express Merced! Right off the freeway and near lots of fast food and gas stations. Hour and a half from Yosemite too! Check in was easy, room on first floor was clean and beautiful. Pool was a little green so we chose not to use it. Maria handled breakfast and she is LOVELY! Breakfast area was very clean and well kept. Great selection of food -protein, carbs, fruit, etc. The whole experience was nice-relaxing and a calm place to stay. I highly recommend it!

Great hospitality I have stayed here every other night for about 2 months now. The hotel staff is amazing. The breakfast area is one of the best I have seen. Maria the breakfast attendant is very very nice, and has everything fresh and clean. Always has a smile. The rooms are always fresh and clean. The staff in general are very upbeat and friendly. I stay for work. But would definitely stay on my own dime.

Kai and Sara save the day! Sara and Kai were unbelievably helpful, can't thank the two of them enough. Last week we were in an Airbnb for 4th of July in Mariposa... about a mile from the French fire. We had to evacuate 4 people in about 10 minutes - we had to move so fast we left some of our belongings in the Airbnb. We had nowhere to go, so we just kept driving while looking for a place to stay online. We walked into this location with no reservation or plan. Kai and Sara went absolutely above and beyond their duties to ensure we had a roof over our heads, water, and anything else we may have needed after being in the path of a forest fire less than an hour prior. Not the easiest task to pull off during a busy holiday weekend, while a fire is raging 40 minutes away, with emergency services coming from all over the state, along with other evacuees, and guests arriving that already had reservations. The staff at this location really stepped up to a challenging scenario, handled each guest with care and grace, and didn't even seem to break a sweat! Thank you! The hotel was extremely clean and modern as well, but the staff really made the difference - they deserve some recognition! We'll remember this for a long time to come.

Super clean I have stayed at several hotels in Merced over the years and this is the best around. Good location. Train tracks are nearby. However, we like the sounds of trains. Property is really clean. Like super insanely clean. They did put us right by the elevator (which we requested not to be). The elevator “buzzer / arrival beep” is insanely loud and we could hear it in our room constantly. Insist on a room far away from the elevators. Sink drained super slow and the telephone didn’t seem work. Water pressure in the shower was great. Size of the room and bathroom is generous. Some staff are super friendly and amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee is hot and good. Pool area is small, but clean and not packed. Wi-Fi is strong Overall: Decent priced super clean place to stay, with friendly staff.
