"School's out! No more pencils! No more books! No more teachers' dirty looks!" Meriden review I recently stayed at the Meriden, CT Red Roof Inn in April & May. The location is close to the highway and main roads making accessing restaurants, markets, and area businesses less daunting. The property itself is situated in a residential area which lends to the quietness of the property grounds. If you are traveling with your furry four-footed family member as I do, with your children, or with senior adult loved ones, traffic safety concerns are minimized making it easier to step outside to take a walk during this beautiful weather. Brijesh Patel and David are two of the people I interacted with most in guest relations/front desk. It was very helpful with any requests concerning my stay from housekeeping to using the Roku television to booking future reservations at that property. Casual conversations with guests who have stayed at this location on a number of occasions revealed Meriden Red Roof Inn to be preferred over other hotels in the vicinity especially with regard to cleanliness, affordability, attentiveness of the staff, and the attention to safety. These are all things I noticed personally as well so it was great to hear it echoed by strangers. I booked a future reservation directly with Mr. Patel before checking out the last time I was there. Instead of trying to get as much money as he could, he took the time to find the best possible rate amidst the discounts that I qualify for (AAA, AARP, Redi-Rewards Membership) and was able to beat all three! That is the type of good business to be respected and shared with other travelers and stay-cationers in a time when the economy is an excuse to do shoddy business while collecting payment. That is why I made time to write this review and encourage you to book your reservation.

Decent for the money, but needs maintenance A low cost place right beside two highways. Dog friendly and convenient, but it is "tired." The bed and room size are good. WiFi, too. No in-house breakfast, but the Olympus Diner is just two blocks away

Excellent climate control If you want a perfect night's sleeping the Summer you cannot pick a better hotel.LG window units AC digital to 54 that I only found when a Best Western in Bethel,CT remodeled in 2018 and they charge over $1000 a week.I NEVER in 10 years coming here seasonally to escape SWFLA ever heard any noise...that is perfect sound proofing.Brandy is an excellent hotel manager,Mr Patel excellent general manager,Shawn is excellent maintenance manager.I recently left an ESA in Warwick RI with old Amana unit to 60 when I saw 74 degrees is upcoming lows this week in CT.Never believed that was possible.

Ode to the Red Roof Inn In Meriden town, the Red Roof Inn stands, Nestled beside a graveyard's solemn expanse. A tale of our stay, I shall now weave, In poetic verse, the truth we perceive. The hotel's charm, alas, did fade, Renovations needed, an upgrade delayed. Like feeble whispers, the Wi-Fi's reach, Thin as the walls, frustratingly full of speech. Once vibrant hues, now fading and frail, Paint chipping off doors, a melancholy tale. Yet amidst this scene, a solace we found, Clean and tidy, no corpses were around. When our stay concluded, we bid our adieu, Check-out was easy, a swift bid to pursue. Though flaws abound, we leave no disdain, And to some extent, fun memories shall remain.
