Not great We stayed at Novotel Bordeaux for two nights before continuing our journey to the coast. While our room was adequate for a short stay, it was a bit dated and small for our family of four. Unfortunately, our dining experiences were disappointing. The service in the restaurant was very poor. We ordered drinks, but the beer was missing. Despite following up, it was never brought to us. The children's desserts also did not arrive, even after asking twice. Breakfast the next day was equally subpar: there were no plates, limited choices, and only one waitress struggling to manage everything. The system was very unorganised. In the afternoon, we decided to relax by the pool. However, the service at the poolside kiosk was lacking as the attendant frequently disappeared for long periods, making it difficult to get drinks. Additionally, the receptionists were often unavailable when we needed assistance. On the positive side, the hotel's location is excellent, with easy tram access into Bordeaux, proximity to the airport, and enjoyable cocktails (when they eventually arrived). Overall, while the location and amenities are good, the service needs significant improvement to meet 4 star expectations.
