La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix Mesa West

Good value, but wouldn’t stay again We had mixed feelings about this hotel. It was in a decent area surrounded by several food options. The staff was professional, but not necessarily friendly. One of the custodians, went out of her way to greet and talk to us briefly so that was nice and welcoming! The breakfast food had some variety including waffles, eggs, sausages, different types of bread, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee, and juices. Everything was kept clean, warm, and filled. However, we noticed a few cars that were parked throughout our stay with people hanging out in them at all times. Furthermore, the side doors were always unlocked and didn’t require a key card to enter. Therefore, this caused for us to feel uneasy as anyone could come in and walk through the hotel. The room we stayed in was a decent size, was mostly clean, and the bathroom had all the amenities needed. The walls were a little thin and therefore we could hear others talking, watching tv, or even any door opening/closing. This hotel allows pets. We didn’t have any pets with us during our stay, but the room we were in, smelled like pee around the bed and on certain parts of the carpet. On our third day, we were making the bed ourselves because housekeeping didn’t clean our room. We noticed large spots/stains on the comforter. During our stay, on the first day, we used the DND sign on the door and therefore our room wasn’t cleaned. However, on the second day, we didn’t put the DND sign out and we still didn’t have anyone come clean our room. This caused for us to have to have to go ask the front desk for amenities and toilet paper. Overall, it was good value for the price. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

Staycation We had to stay in a hotel for 11 days due to remodeling in our house. We choose this hotel because they accept cats. The staff is great! The hotel is great too! Very clean, loved the 7th floor view. The parking is great, lots of afternoon shade which is a plus in the summer heat. If we need to stay at a local hotel again, this would be our first choice.

Close to many activities Very comfortable. Facilities are a older but pretty well taken care of. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. Air conditioner felt wonderful and was very comfortable for sleeping. Quiet and relaxing. Would stay again when in the area.

Sad I stayed 3 days (death of my mother) it was 100° temps everyday but the pool was so dirty you couldn't swim, the elevators were filthy the refrigerator in my room was nasty and after I checked out I had forgotten an item the front desk retrieved it and said I could pick up but when doing so the item had disappeared. I am very upset by this

Excellent I was in town for a business meeting and La Quinta had great reviews, I’m glad I stayed with them. Would definitely recommend this place. The rooms are clean, staff extremely helpful and friendly and can’t forget about the breakfast, they have a good variety.
