Nice place, overshadowed by COVID safety concerns. I feel like this review is easiest to create with bullet points. While my stay was overall pleasant and I was happy with my room, I think the COVID concerns must be mentioned first. **Check-in: The front desk person wore no mask during my check-in (as well as when others checked-in around the same time), despite signs stating that masks are required. Perhaps they had a medical exemption but still odd, especially with cases rising. a plexiglass shield was set up in front of the desk, but those only protect so much **Check-out: The same front desk person wore no mask again. When they went to inspect my room, their partner who came to watch over the front desk also wore no ask. --In a response to my email to Motel 6, they stated, "All personal [sic] are required to wear a mask upon arrival and departure." This verifies the staff should have worn masks, but did not elaborate. **Pet fee: Studio 6 locations such as this do charge a pet fee (this location charged me $15/night for 1 cat, despite the website for this location stating it would be $10/night. Ultimately, I was charged $80 on top of what I had already paid online ($50 refundable security deposit along with $15/night for 2 nights). --Motel 6 responded to this as well with, "The property determines pricing for pet fees. It does state for the fee " a maximum of $75 per stay" which you range within that." This response still somewhat conflicts with the expectation of paying a pet fee of $10/night. Good points: *internet worked decently for the most part, two access points, occasional drops. My trip was a simple getaway, so internet access was not that important to me. *the electric range (2 electric burners) worked well. the refrigerator/freezer had plenty of space, especially if only staying a few days. Some dishes, utensils, and pots/pans were available. *the queen sized bed was fairly firm (my preference), the bathtub was deep and comfortable. the front area was spacious and had dresser as well as small desk and a safe (did not use). the TV and channel selection were a nice bonus. Worth mentioning: *I noticed old stains on the bedspread, as well as a very rusty drain in the kitchen sink. *the ceiling fan was quite loud and shaky, especially with medium to slow speeds - (uses a 'dimmer' switch) - thankfully there is a wall unit that serves as a fan as well as for cooling/heating. Notable: *smoking cigarettes is not allowed within 25 feet of the buildings, though several people seem not to mind this rule Normally, this would be a 4 star rating, but is dropped to 3 for safety concerns. I realize masks can be a point of contention for some, but it all boils down to protecting others as well as yourself, especially when it comes to businesses and perception of safety.

Awful The hotel is ran down. This place couple be nice with Paint and a little tlc. The GM is rude. Demanding. I paint using the app. She informed me no she did and I will pay her. She checked her 3rd party reservation computer and I did pay in advance. The rules posted no drugs and don’t damage the property. Very reasonable. As I was walking out she let me know her personal rules are no visitors after 8 and don’t bother her til 9am if anything is needed.

Clutch spot, glad I stayed here The location is solid and safe. Management is awesome, sincere and hard working. Came here when all other hotels in the area experienced a blackout. Had zero issues. Room was just right and everything is simple

Home away from home This place is absolutely amazing! Great customer service, clean rooms, and easy access to get to work on public transportation. Not a bunch of drug addicts or homeless people. A safe, effective way to save money when moving to another state.
