Old, tired and not too clean Checked in late, stood in the hallway for 20 minutes while the doorman and the maintenance staff tried to fix the card reader on the door. Finally, everything worked and we were let in to a small, dark room. The only chair had a stained seat, the sofa had crumbs on it as if someone had just eaten lunch there and the bed, horrid. Felt like we were sleeping on a sprung wooden floor with bricks for pillows. Some people like a firm mattress but this is extreme. Shower pressure was minimal but that's expected in CDMX. Towels looked like they were properly laundered and then came breakfast. This hotel had been recommended because it's supposed to have a great kitchen. Well, it didn't have one for our breakfast. Fruit plate was tasteless, not fresh. Eggs were cooked much too long and the sauce (Passilla) was burnt, not toasted. We were booked for 25 nights, stayed 1. The only shinning star in this place is the doorman. Friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.

Time Capsule! We have stayed here many times throughout the years. The location is perfect for us, the price is great and the service too. The reason I have to give 4 stars again is that the hotel looks exactly it looked over 20 years ago when we stayed there the first time. Everything is clean but extremely old. Even the curtains in the restaurant seem to be the originals. The rooms are nice and clean but extremely outdated. This hotel should be renovated ASAP or soon frequent guests like us won’t be back.

Comfortable, older property in Pedregal Nice stay, 5 nights on business. Comfortable bed, good sleep quality. Adequate bath amenities. A/c is good, bed good, quiet room. Free valet parking onsite. Fresh breakfast buffet every morning, each day is different so enjoy that. Restaurant has a good selection of menu items, a limited, full bar is also available. Service is outstanding, friendly and accommodating. Enjoy your stay!

Bad - not a "Palace" at all, yet good sleep Quite disapointed. What I appreciated were the breakfast (low price, excellent food, kind service, great room) and the kindness of the maids and restaurant stewards, as well as the possibility to use the hotel taxi and put this bill on the invoice without having to pay directly. I want to point out that bathroom was equipped with bars for disabled persons, which could be useful. Good showers, good products freely available (including 2*400ml of water/day), spacious and old-school rooms and bathrooms. Good bed. For the rest : - people at the reception desk not speaking english (or very little, which revealed to be worst), - no freezer in the room and so no mini-bar, - electrical plugs in very strange places, WiFi random (and two networks...), - no information in room about the available services/time of check-in and check-out, opening times and menu of the restaurant,... - my credit card was copied during my stay in Mexico. Hotel is one of the three places in which I used it... - they affirmed to be able to receive a payment using Maestro. I insisted for trying and they never accepeted. In the end, it was not possible to pay using Maestro. - Doors doesn't close automatically, with the risk of letting it open unwillingly. What's most, the little chain to block the door from the inside was blocking the door one out of two times to close it. - Magnetic keys are working one out of five tries ot open your door. - No safe available. Only a "safe box" that anyone can open. - The announced "free laundry" has to be paid. Prices for this were as high as in European hotel, I didn't understood. - No ecological policy. All towels are washed everyday, whatever you do/ask/request. - Room is put back in original state everyday. That means all your "customization" for your own comfort/way of life are resetted everyday. Very annoying. - Hotel is amazingly noisy. Your hear everything from the two neighbour rooms, as well as from the hall, where Mexican people tend to scream a lot. You permanently hear the Periferico Sur, the highway in front of the hotel, even if room is at the back of the hotel. - Hotel is far from everything... Count 30 min in Uber (and 200 pesos) to the center of Mexico. Never forget that the traffic is awful. Almost impossible to get back there in the evening, all traffic is literally stopped in front of the hotel. - Almost no room for your taxi to disembark you. The spot in the front of the hotel is often use by other cars, taxis, busses,... You often need to disembark on the Periferical itself. So dangerous. - Very small lifts. Difficult to use if you are alone with one bag, so imagine for more... - Prices for visiting from the hotel are outrageous (multiply by 6 at least the price for the same place using Uber and buying ticket and guide on site) To sum up, this is not a Palace. You can still sleep well, especially in the back of the hotel where there is less noise, and use your computer and phones and books in the room to have a nice stay. Lots of things are problematic, but not critical. Yet, compared to Mexico prices, what you pay is very high compared to what you get. This hotel could improve easily. How sad they doesn't even care to (no feedback requested when leaving).
