Here for a wedding reception The appetizers were well thought out well delivered! We sat roof top for two hours with an open bar and delicious appetizers including shrimp cocktail, meat tray, fruit tray, cheeses and crackers, etc. The trays being passed by servers were deviled eggs, smoked salmon on tortilla, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, duck wrapped rolls, etc. The service was excellent and prompt. The appetizers were excellent. The food at the dinner was either goat cheese entree, filet mignon with mash potatoes or pork with a bean preparation, the appetizer was a pear salad with candied walnuts. This was an excellent venue for a higher class wedding , with two hours rooftop then dinner on the 4th floor! However, when recieving the dinner plates, the food was cold, and pork pink! I would accept medium pork if it was hot or even warm but it was not. All the dinners were cold. We ate it anyway and we're delighted to find flavor and nuances that delighted the palate. All in all the venue satisfied our palates and desires for the night!

Great location but needing investment Well located for access from freeway. Parking ( pay) adjacent to hotel. Welcoming reception team. Public areas fine but a little tired. Bedroom very dated and scruffy bathroom - needs redecorating urgently. Bar and restaurant closed Sunday but a reasonable walk to local facilities. Fine for a brief stay but would look elsewhere next time

A frustrating experience This place is struggling. Whatever we wanted -- including some amenities that are advertised on the website -- seemed to be unattainable. The steam room was closed for repairs, the pools (which are separated by gender anyway, so that's great if you're in TRAINING, which we aren't) closed at 7:00 p.m. (this was a Saturday), we couldn't take baths, just showers, because the spout in the tub had been replaced a sealed-off pipe sticking out of the wall, and worst of all, we had no control over the heat in our room. All night long I was blasted with forced air, in the bed closest to the vent, and the temperature remained at a dusty 77° despite our open window. Even the night clerk couldn't do anything about it -- he tried, using his computer, but the system was apparently down down down. "This is a very old hotel," was the explanation. In the morning, the desk clerk (or perhaps the manager) was conciliatory and refunded our parking fee of $15. (He might have given us more of a discount, but we had booked through Expedia rather than directly from the hotel.) "Remember us in two years," he said wistfully. The place is due for major renovations by then, and it needs them.

Disappointed The building is primarily a club vs hotel, with only 50 some rooms. Ours was sorely in need of a refresh. There was a rusty pipe where the tub spigot should have been, a ratty carpet, poor lighting and bath tiles with paint blotches on them. Then two comfy new beds...what???

Old Old Old Gold shag carpeting. Really? Filthy. Furniture and bathrooms from the 1940s. Yellow tile. Peeling Formica bathroom counter. Windows require maintenance worker to open. Hallway carpeting filthy and threadbare. Room doors are not secure - Old plywood.
