Holiday Inn Express Minden by IHG

Unacceptable Damage to Vehicle and Poor Customer Service at Holiday Inn Express Minden, LA My stay at the Holiday Inn Express Minden, LA, on May 30-31, 2024, was marred by a terrible experience. A tree on the property fell on my car during the night. While the staff promptly removed the tree, I discovered significant dents and scratches on my vehicle upon returning home, despite no initial signs of damage. Disappointingly, the general manager refused to take full responsibility for the repairs, insisting I go through my insurance and potentially face higher rates. This approach is unacceptable, especially considering similar situations at Hilton properties were handled swiftly and professionally. Furthermore, it's evident the fallen tree was poorly maintained and posed a safety hazard to guests. Security footage from my car clearly shows no storm or strong winds at the time of the incident. The unwillingness of the Holiday Inn Express Minden to take accountability for the damage and their dismissive attitude towards customer service has completely eroded my trust in the IHG brand. I will be canceling my IHG credit card and choosing Hilton for future stays.

Clean, great service, very friendly. Clean; great service especially free breakfast. Food was very good. Lady running it was very nice & did a great job. Staff was very friendly & Accommodating. Very close to I-20 a plus. Ate at Romas restaurant in Minden. Food was fabulous. Will definitely go back.

QUALITY COMPASSIONATE SERVICE IS STILL AVAILABLE! Tonight my wife and I drove from Birmingham, Alabama and stopped for the night in on our way to Austin, TX. We had reserved a handicap room, only to find out the elevator was down and our room was on the second floor. The night staff was so friendly, kind, and caring. When she saw my wife having difficulty, she searched diligently for a handicap room on the first floor. We were so happy with the kindness of the staff to locate a room on the first floor.

Friendly Staff, Good Breakfast but a couple of issues. Friendly staff and good breakfast were the main pluses at this hotel. The bed was kind of odd and not comfortable with no blankets, but some sort of comforter covering the bed. There was also a few stains on the carpets in the hallway. It was quiet, and would still recommend for a one-night stay.

Not well maintained but with a nice male front desk Staff I would rate this HIE 5 for the recommendation its Front Desk male Staff gave us for seafood dinner. My husband and I both appreciate our unique experience in Crawfish Hole # 2!! This HIE is not well-maintained. The bathroom needs a lift. Management should replace stained bath towels which is below standard, replace alarm clocks with exposed wires which is hazard and replace light bulbs or lamp shades that don’t work. I would have rated this HIE lower but in consideration of the knowledgeable staff, I raised my rating to 3.
