A welcoming place in WV I felt at home by the warm welcome given by the hotel staff. The breakfast (complimentary) made the stay even comfortable. The on-arrival snacks and drinks made by day after a long drive. For some late evening snacks, I walked out of the hotel and found some good eateries nearby.

Great for a night or two The room was fairly clean and comfortable. The hotel wasn't very busy when we were there, so it was quiet and restful. The breakfast is a bit sub-par for a Hampton Inn, in my opinion, but okay. Overall, the value is great for the price (please note I used my points for this stay, but looked up the per night price which didn't seem to bad). I would stay here again.

Typical mediocre Hampton Inn Fairly clean, old and pieces of the building are slowly falling apart. Typical, older Hampton Inn that needs remodeled to stay up with minimum Hilton standards. Easy to walk to Wendy's and other stores nearby. Breakfast was normal for this chain.

Front Desk Receptionist was extremely rude to us! I will preface this by saying I rarely have a reason to leave negative reviews but at this particular hotel my husband and I were treated very rudely. There were only a few vehicles in the parking lot when we arrived at the Hampton Inn in Mineral Wells, a few minutes before 3:00 on Sunday April 23rd. Obviously not a busy time. When we entered the building we were the only quests in the lobby. We approached the front desk to inquire about our reservation, which I had made through the Hilton Honors App, and although my husband and I were speaking to each other as we walked up, the receptionist did not bother to look up nor acknowledge us in any way (I was told later that her name is Cheyenna (sp?). We're easy-going people, not impatient so we stood there for several minutes, waiting patiently. After a while she got up and walked over and sat down at another location at the front desk, still not looking up or acknowledging us, even though by this time we had cleared our throats to get her attention and were beginning to feel uncomfortable. Finally, she looked up with what I can only describe as an annoyed expression and said, “yes?”, no smile, no greeting, no apology for keeping us waiting, nothing whatsoever. I said we had a reservation for 3:00 (at this point it is already past the hour) and gave her my name. She said she didn’t have a room ready for us. Now, keep in mind the parking lot was almost empty and we were the only people in the lobby. I explained that I had made the reservation through the Hilton Honors app for a 3:00 checkin-in and I had a confirmation number. Her response was, “Well no one told us!” She said it would be about 20 minutes before a room would be ready. To say we felt very much as if we were a big inconvenience is an understatement. Perhaps it was close to shift change and she was inpatient to leave but there should be no excuse to treat anyone so rudely. On a positive note our room was clean although it felt a bit worn. I think this is probably an older hotel property and in need of updating. Breakfast was good, as it usually is at Hampton Inns. We almost exclusively stay at Hilton properties when we are traveling, usually Hampton Inns because we know what we can expect but unfortunately this particular hotel fell far short of what we normally experience from a Hilton property, thanks to the extremely rude front desk receptionist.

Great Stay I don’t know who is running this place but it was by far the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. The price was fair, rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful getting me a parking spot (pulling a stock trailer). The complementary breakfast was great and coffee was just right! Thank you! Will be staying again next time through…
