Good choice This hotel is easy on/ off 99 and is in an industrial area, although there is a Mexican restaurant and sandwich shop in easy walking distance. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating to our special requests and very friendly. Breakfast was basic. This is a good choice if you traveling through Modesto.

Very unpleasant stay Not in a good part of town and I had a really bad stay. Check in and check out were really difficult. Management was very difficult to deal with. Would never stay here again and would not recommend to anyone.

Be carefull with this place. Could not get warm water in shower. Coffee was lukewarm and after complaining I was not refunded my charges for incidentals which by the way is a high $200. Was accused wrongfully of damages to room.

Management Actually just threatened my husband over a false charge! This nightmare began when my husband tried to book a room at this hotel late at night. He actually booked through the choice hotels web page. When he got to the hotel literally 15 minutes after making the reservation the front desk clerk stated that they didn't have a room and that a room wouldn't be available until after 3pmwhich was about 12 hours later. She tried to see if there were any rooms available, there weren't. He asked her to cancel the reservation because he couldn't use the room. She refused. The next thing we know there are false charges on our credit card. We've been going back and fourth with out bank trying to get this handled. Today the manager of this hotel threatened my husband stating that " if he didn't drop this dispute you won't like the outcome" and then proceeded to removed 8,000 points on our account that was placed there by Choice Hotels corporate office. This is now a criminal action

Try somewhere else! My son & I stayed at this Quality Inn last night and it was less than desirable. For a "Choice" Hotel, they should be de-certified. The first thing I noted was the filthy elevator floor and then we we pushed the up button, the elevator jerked up so hard, I thought I would get whiplash! The room smelled like stale cigarettes (Non-Smoking room) and the AC didn't work very well. This morning when I went in to take a shower, I noticed the bar holding up the curtain was starting to fall over and the curtain would not stay closed unless I out a wet washcloth on it. Check-in took forever and it seemed like the poor gal in front had to fill in more papers than a tax return! The Coup de grace was the cockeyed Elevator button! I would not recommend this place for $98 + tax per night! I've been in Motel 6's better than this! The outside had cigarette butts everywhere and it looked like the property was not very well maintained at all.
