Red Roof Inn & Suites Monee

That's a solid "no" from now on. Before Covid this hotel used to be decent but then again it was to sleep and not to hang out. Front Desk staff was friendly, okay breakfast. We stayed for the first time after Covid in December of 2021. It was a little less clean but, again, it's just for a bed. I stayed a few times between January of '22 until we visited in August of '23. It had gone downhill in cleanliness and service. Examples: *Pool was closed *Elevator on 2 separate visits was "out of service". Turns out it had not passed inspection. *Dirty refrigerators, one with food left in it. * Mouse droppings in a clothes drawer * additional lock on door broken *Despite the fine and no smoking rule I had 2 rooms smell strongly of smoke *no breakfast *Little or no towels * little or no soap/shampoo etc *house keeping kept asking me every day if I was checking out that day, I was not. *housekeeping tried to get into my room at 8 despite the "do not disturb" sign. * for over 5 years I stayed there thinking I was getting points, I was told every time I was. However I only got 1 "free" night and only after I asked. I feel this hotel and management could do better. I was reading the bad reviews and I was surprised that the hotel got positive reviews at all.

Pleasant Stay Room was clean and I particularly liked the laminate flooring instead of carpet. Also liked the fact they had an elevator & swimming pool. The only issue I encountered was that I visited the hotel the day before check in and reserved my room at that moment but when I arrived to check in the next day, the lady who had reserved my room did something incorrectly and I had to redo the whole reservation.

Really?? I was duped by the good reviews and the pictures. Front desk help was nonexistent. Breakfast and coffee was a cruel joke. Coffee ran out and no one in sight to replenish. Only food was a crappy off brand small muffin The room was in serious need of updating, deep cleaning and the hot water was barely warm. Shower curtain filthy and the towels were cheap, scratchy and dingy. Room was located next to exercise room and across from pool Really a sad place.

Don’t come with high expectations I booked a room here because of the high ratings. Yes there are other hotels nearby that were similarly priced, but this one was tripadvisor recommended. I have to say that i was sadly disappointed. Yes, i think for the most part, this hotel was clean. However, i was unaware that pets are allowed, as i heard dogs barking in the hallway a few times. Also, i guess i expected all amenities to be updated. The handheld shower head leaked everywhere and when i stepped into the shower, i could see that the bottom of my feet were dirty from the floor… not cool. The nice big TV was nice, but even with that on, and the A/C, i could still hear people doing something upstairs… so much for sound proofing. I still gave this place 3 stars, as you do get what you pay for… and since this wasn’t overly expensive, i guess i shouldn’t have had so high of expectations. Customer service wasn’t horrible… i did have to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to come check me in, but check-in and check-out was fairly quick other than that. Never got a chance to check the wifi as i was never given the password… idk. If i ever stay in the area again, i will most likely try another place first.

Not recommended We prepaid through a travel site but was forced to pay again on arrival and was told that we had to contact the travel site for correction. Contacted the travel site who then had to contact the hotel so they could refund me. In addition, hotel advertised pool and gym which are both closed for safety (they do not even have a mask policy in place). Very disappointed at the double charge and misrepresentation. Rooms were clean.
