Nice hotel This hotel is right off the highway, so was easy to get to. The hotel was nice and the layout of the room was nice -- lot's of room and storage space. There is a pool. Breakfast was good with some choice. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. I saw a comment about the credit card issue. I had the same problem, but had no problem checking in. This was the fifth hotel in our three week trip and the only one that had the credit card problem.

Problems with venue Although this hotel was close to where we were visiting, there were some things that need to be worked on in this venue. Breakfast: sausage and cinnamon rolls were dry as if they had been sitting out for several days, and the omelets were burnt every day. The help in the kitchen area were nice to the guests but were loudly arguing with each other about work and making bacon (there was never any bacon out during our stay). The accessible room was not wide enough for my wheelchair to turn around in the sleeping area. This made for difficulty getting in and out of the room since I need to stay in the chair. The carpet in the room needs to be cleaned. My husband's white socks were black every day of our stay. When we arrived, we were told that if we took our belongings off of the bed every day before leaving that the bed would be made by the cleaning staff. We did this, but the bed was never made. The only thing the cleaning staff did was to leave clean towels. Thank you to those who were congenial to us, but we will think twice about staying in this Holiday Inn Express again.

Worst hotel ever I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could! I will never stay at a Holiday Inn hotel again! Stacy Lambright at Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati North Monroe has been a nightmare to work with. I booked our room in February at a rate of $426 (for 2 nights). When we arrived at the hotel, I was informed that they had tried to run my credit card earlier that day and it was declined. (It was actually my debit card and there was plenty of money in my account.) Since my card was declined, they were not able to charge me for the rate I had booked at, but they had to charge me the current rate. The lady working at the front desk was very understanding and told me that they had more credit cards declined that week then not and that she was sure it was a problem with their system. She assured me that we would get our money back but she was unable to run my credit card at the booking rate without a manager present. She then ran the (declined) card that was on file at a rate of over $700 and it went through just fine (I never even got it out of my purse). I checked in at the front desk the next day to see if the manager was there and she wasn't. But another employee also told me that they had so many credit cards declined that week that she never even got the chance to call everybody whose card was declined. She also assured me that it was their system that wasn't working correctly. She advised me to email the manager (Stacy Lambright) and was sure that she would take care of it. I emailed the manager right away on Saturday. By Tuesday I had not received a response so I called. I talked to Stacy and she wouldn't even accept the fact that it was a possibility that they had a problem with their system. She shut me down right away. She also assured me that they tried to call me when the card first declined (which they did not). So I then went to my bank and had them print my records. There are NO DECLINED TRANSACTIONS on my debit card. I also checked my phone records and there is NO RECORD OF THEM EVER CALLING ME! Since then I have tried to contact both Stacy at the hotel and corporate and neither are cooperating. It takes me about three phone calls before I can even get Stacy to call me back. The manager of the hotel then called THE COPS on me so I would stop calling. I am now not able to call the hotel for information and I am banned from staying at the hotel (not that I would ever stay there again anyhow!). I did get frustrated and upset a few times, but never, ever did I threaten her or use inappropriate language. _ So if you're ever in the area, I would NEVER stay at Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati North Monroe. The manager was not only rude and ineffective at her job, the hotel itself is not very nice....used needles and condoms in the parking lot, employees smoking marijuana in their car near us on their break, etc. Feel free to share to save someone else from this same disaster.

Family Travel The staff was friendly and took our reservation last minute. They made suggestions for dinner and were very social with conversation as we were traveling with our 93 year old mother. The accommodations were clean and the breakfast was hot and fresh. This was our second visit to this particular location.

Great hotel! My sister and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. I asked if he had a list of restaurants in the area and he was very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very good and the woman in charge kept it filled with fresh food and also kept the tables cleaned. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
