Days Inn by Wyndham Monterey-Fisherman's Wharf Aquarium

Hotel is ok- simple and clean but COCKROACHES in room 335!!! The hotel is in a convenient location, and was very clean. Bed was very firm though and hurt our hips. Streaming is not available so if you like Netflix, etc, forget it. Also screen is very small and hard to see from our bed (2 queen beds with ocean view). We stayed for four days. Saw a cockroach and then 2 more 3 days later...all coming from bathroom area (traveling through cutouts around piping?). When we told the staff, we were made to feel like it was out fault because we didn't have the sheets changed everday from the person in charge of cleaning. Had to explain that that has nothing to do with clean sheets. The manager then wrote me several days afterward and said they had a pest service out who said there was no "infestation" in that room. There is an infestation starting somewhere in this hotel! We even trapped one for them that was still alive to show them they have a problem. We have never experienced cockroaches and found them absolutely disgusting. Had to shake out every single piece of clothing and item before we left to ensure not taking one with us- time consuming and stressful. Still fearful here back at home that one is going to show up. Beware!!

Enjoyable stay My husband and I enjoy staying here. The Manager is always accommodating to our needs and the rooms are always clean, sanitized and fresh. Beds are comfortable. I have to use the handicap rooms and have always enjoyed our stay. Will be staying again in the future.

Affordable motel in Monterey Motel was fine, rooms are a good size and clean. Name implies that it is close to the Fisherman’s warf But that is an half hour walk. Motel is a close walk to a shopping center with restaurants and shops.

Spotlessly clean and in great condition! The Days Inn Monterey-Fisherman's Wharf Aquarium was a great place to stay while we were in Monterey. It was spotlessly clean, and it looked like it had recently been completely remodeled. Very nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again. My only complaint is the name: Days Inn Monterey-Fisherman's Wharf Aquarium. It is actually about 2 1/2 miles from either Fisherman's Wharf, a little further from the Aquarium. Not a big deal if you have a car, but we were using the excellent bus system, and it became a little cumbersome to get around.

Worth the money Room was clean. Staff was very helpful. Hotel location was very good. Check in was easy. I would stay here again in the future. Hotel was worth the money. It is a great value. Hotel was very quiet too.
