Quality Inn Montgomeryville - Philadelphia

Manager is rude and should not be in hospitality We came here for a travel softball tournament with about 12 families. We had a dog, and our room alone was $500 for two nights. We came three weeks ago for a tournament and had minimal issues although I did get a phone call to come back due to my dog barking the one night we went out for dinner. This is the only time our dog was in the room and barked and we spent $140 to have dogs at the hotel. If they don’t want dogs to bark, they shouldn’t be considered pet friendly. This weekend when we came we were told we could no longer hang out in the lobby and have a few drinks. We were at softball from 7am until 430 pm and after we got back parents had gotten together in the lobby to have a few drinks and talk about the day and softball. We were not loud, we were not disrespectful, we were not rowdy. It was 99 degrees out and we were simply trying to cool down and relax with a few beers and were kicked out of the lobby by the part owner- Joe. We said there was nothing posted about drinking in the lobby and he said if we wanted to drink we needed to go to a tavern. We went to dinner and when we returned he had put up a new sign stating that there was no drinking in the lobby or parking lot. He was rude and there was no reason for him to be disrespectful to our group of people who stayed here. When we mentioned how much money we had spend here over the last few weeks staying at this hotel, he said “thank you” in a very snarky way. Our rooms were musty and smelly, the AC worked and then would shut off. We had only 2 towels in our suite. And the pull out couch was covered in dog hair. If you have a group who does travel softball and like to spend time together during your weekend, DO NOT COME HERE. The other people who worked in the hotel were nice. The co-owner was rude and he does not deserve any business.

Adequate hotel needs some common repairs. The only issue was the internet speed it was only downloading at about 2MB/S and that was too slow to do much. Spent a long time on the phone with tech support and they managed to eke it to 7-9 MB/s, but back to 1.7 the next day. Breakfast was the usual stuff and a few pieces of fruit etc mostly packaged instant stuff. I didn't have any other big issues. It is an older hotel and they are trying to keep it up. BTW: bathroom door sticks and doesn't close completely.

Dirty, issued then cancelled refund- DO NOT TRUST We booked through Hotels.com. The room was dirty upon arrival and amenities were broken. We were offered a room switch or a refund. We chose a refund and got a written statement of refund from the front desk. They later called and cancelled the refund through Hotels.com. Despite calling the manager and asking him to honor the written statement of refund, he refused.

Nice people a nice dog hotelroom The service at the front desk was very helpful and folks there were kind and understanding as we had made the reservation at the last minute due to rushing to get to a funeral and had mistaken the date. They adjusted everything so we could stay the two nights even though we got in at 2:00 am. Not everyplace is this nice and I deeply appreciate it. We were just looking for a simple clean place to stay with my dog. The room was spacious and clean. They made sure I was near the stairwell with easy access to an area for my dog to relieve himself. There was a TV, a little machine to make coffee and a mini fridge. Due to covid their isn’t a breakfast buffet but they have a coffee and hot water machine and they have hot breakfast sandwiches you can request and then heat up. If you are traveling with your dog it is good to know that there is a side walk in front of the hotel and you can take you pup for a decent walk on a leash despite the road be a bit busy. I also would like to mention that the hotel has a nice brick exterior and is back off the road enough for rooms to be quieter.

Nice Size Room Arrived at the hotel around 1900 and checked in. Nice size room with two double beds. Nice desk with lamp and plugs for electronic equipment. Nice pillows and bedding. Room clean and bathroom had plenty of nice lighting. Breakfast now confined to prepackaged buns and muffins. Fresh brewed coffee available.
