Not Bad For An Extended Stay The hotel is very simple inside and my room was clean. The only trouble is this property does not come with an oven which is a must if you're staying long-term. Well worth the rate. The location is good as its just a couple turns and you're on the Interstate. No ridiculous or over-the-top covid restrictions.

Dirty/Outdated I am a Bonvoy member and stayed at this hotel on 6-30-21 Checked in at 8PM went to room and found hair and old dirty toilet paper on bathroom floor. Front desk did clean it. In morning under bed found a plastic bag, plastic bottle top and a q tip. In the cabinet was an old package of sauce. Went to front desk and spoke with Gina. She apologized and said she would offer points to my account. As of today still do not have points The room was not real clean and the hotel is in need of an upgrade. I read some of the negative reviews and still decided to stay here anyway. The reviews were accurate based on what I experienced during my stay Very disappointed and not up to standard for a Marriott property

Dirty ... Had to change rooms because first room the bathroom light was in the sink, TV not working and phone wires hanging with no phones. Second room ... dirty ... snack food on the floor and bedside light missing. This has changed my opinion of Marriott quality. Will never stay in a Marriott property again. Horrible horrible horrible. Can’t say it enough!

Great location, Poor Appearance & Operations If you want to be close to downtown Scranton and have easy access to numerous locales, this hotel is right in the perfect place. Several restaurants are in walking distance and the views are gorgeous from your room. However, the hotel is poorly run. It is a dog-friendly hotel, but that also means lots of unattended dog poop outside the side entrances, to include one in the entry way that became embedded in the carpet. All of this mere feet from a designated dog waste bin. Despite being a non-smoking hotel, our room smelled of cigarette smoke the entire time, and I'm pretty sure our neighbors were smoking something one of the nights. Even with the windows open, we could not fully get rid of the smoke smell. Additionally, housekeeping straight up did not even come to our room one day. Perhaps this is a side effect of the pandemic and being short staffed, but even on the day they did come, they failed to replace all of the towels we had used. Finally, the breakfast at this hotel was the saddest thing I have ever seen. They might as well not have included it. Breakfast consisted of two varieties of yogurt, a few green apples, wrapped plain bagels, oatmeal packets of two varieties, and *maybe* pre-packaged blueberry muffins if you were lucky. Every time I went to get breakfast for my family, there were only a few of each of these items and I had to ask staff if they had any more in the back. They didn't even have the courtesy to provide bags to carry all this in. The orange juice that came out of the juice machine was just orange-flavored water. It was a pathetic effort at providing breakfast, to say the least. It's a shame because the hotel and rooms look quite nice, and the location is great, but it's clear that management does not pride itself on professionalism and providing the best experience to its guests. They need to better.

Going Downhill Lack of management oversight is evident in the poor housekeeping and general state of the rooms. I checked in around 8 p.m. after a very long and trying day. The lock on the first room I was assigned to flashed both red and green lights at the same time. When I couldn’t get the door open, I went back to the front desk and was told this meant the battery was dying. I dragged myself back upstairs, opened the door to the second room and found a pile of dirty laundry on the couch and bags of trash in the kitchen. Back to the front desk I went. The desk clerk went back upstairs to the third room. Everything looked good. She left. I unpacked. Then I went to flip the deadbolt and realized it was barely attached to the wall. At that point, I just gave up. Nail clippings in the bathroom. Some sticky stuff slapped on the glass shade of one of the lights. I asked to speak to the manager the next morning, but he was not available. I’ve left two voicemail messages, neither of which was returned. For management, my stay was in Room 321, the night of April 9. I’m a Bonvoy member you should be able to look me up, please do not leave a comment that you want me to contact you. I’ve tried.
