Good Return Trip Was here successfully four years ago and decided to try it again. For the second time in a row, we did not have a beach view. They put us in a building that was quite a walk from the beach and the pool. We were in the Pines building which is very close to the kids pool area and the Woodsey Parking. Nice enough building, fourth floor, balcony, two-bedroom unit with kitchen, living room and dining area. Second bedroom had two queen beds which can come in handy. Everything worked properly in the unit and we were very happy with the beds and the air conditioning. Our five nights and four days there were good. We went to the beach for the first two days. It was cloudy every morning and we didn't realize that we would get burnt on the beach, even though it was hazy all day. The second day was similar but we put up an umbrella. We had our own chairs that we carried to the beach. The beach at Myrtle is big and long and is kept very clean by the town. The third and fourth day I wen't down early to get chairs at the pool (the small pool) and we had coverings over our heads, so we were fine. The resort has a large pool and a small pool with the building in a U-shape around the pools. There are two hot tubs as well and the beach is directly behind the small pool. We ate breakfast in the room three times and went out to the buffet one morning which is located in the Marriott Hotel next door. The buffet is about 24.00pp but it was a good change of pace. We visited the pool bar each day for lunch and drinks and the service and food were excellent. There was hardly any notice of the Covid-19 virus as most people were not wearing masks. However, the staff in the hotel, timeshare and all restaurants had masks on. I did come across a problem with the restaurants for dinner. Many of the restaurants were close on Sunday and Monday, our first two nights. 80% of the restaurants in Myrtle Beach do not take reservations. So you basically have to show up and take your chances that the wait won't be outrageous. Tough to make plans that way. We went to the Carolina Seafood and Steak restaurant on the first night and we had a twenty minute wait, which was fine. The food was so-so, at best. The fish was VERY salty and the rest of the food was just ok. Not worth the money (200.00 for four people). One night we went to Broadway on the Beach and to The Tap Room (restaurant). This place not only didn't take reservations, but they didn't take your name either. They just kept telling people to come back in a half-hour or an hour and they SHOULD have more tables at that time. Insane. We decided to just hang around and after 15 minutes, we were seated. Loads of people had left after hearing about the wait. I don't understand how the place doesn't lose business doing the seating that way. Then, it turns out, the menu was drastically reduced from some of the favorites that we saw on the website. Shouldn't they update the website with the new menu??? Just bad business practices. We then went to one of our favorite BBQ places (separate review). They took off the menu Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Mac n'Cheese, Corn Bread. They can't even call themselves a BBQ place anymore. That was the Carolina RoadHouse. After waiting a half hour to go in, it was totally disappointing. I had bbq chicken breasts that looked like they came off a cornish hen. The two Italian restaurants we went to took reservations. Luigi's and Ciao were both excellent and we would return to those. Things are going downhill, it seems, in the area but the Resort is great.

Front Desk has THE worst level of service!! The customer service here is the absolute worst. I would recommend getting training from Hilton. I called days before to let them know we were going to be traveling with perishables. They can’t store it or offer any solutions. I asked if they could put something in the room for my daughters birthday. The concierge was less than helpful. He said they would do balloons but then never did. At 5pm I still didn’t have a room, even though we had pre checked in at 12:30. The front desk manager lacked any empathy or compassion and was rude and condescending. Is this the new Marriott way? Just to note, we are executive level owners and Platinum Elite. In addition, the next morning unbeknownst to me, the front desk checked me out at 5am. I realized this when I was unable to charge a coffee to the room and then a housekeeper entered my room at 8am. When I called down, I received no apology and they said they could not check me back in. I will add, kudos to the housekeeping and grounds crew. One of the housekeepers saw I couldn’t find a luggage cart. Otis turned his golf cart around, helped me find one and then brought it to my car. Amazing & above and beyond (hope slightly restored!) As for the resort, it is beautiful in a wonderful location. I am just less than happy with the service level of Marriott. Hilton is leading the way.

Perfect Condo Making our reservation through Trip Advisor was easy. The owner of the condo was pleasant to work with and I appreciate her allowing us to book her condo. The condo was absolutely perfect. We stayed on the 6th floor, ocean front. The balcony also overlooked the main pool to the side. Everything in the condo appeared new. Nothing old or ratty here as the decor and furnishings were lovely. The beds were super comfy as well. All areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. It is a beautiful property. No problems with crowds on elevators and plenty of covered parking spaces. With staffing shortages there was no maid service, but that was no issue for us. The pool bar made excellent drinks and the bar staff were friendly. There was live music and a DJ at the pool while we were staying. We enjoyed that. We liked that you could charge the umbrella/chairs on the beach to the room. That was convenient. The walkway to the beach and especially the foot washing station was nice. The only negative was part of the check-in. The person that checked us in was very friendly. Leo, however displayed an obvious scowl on his face when it was announced we were "renters" not owners. I'm quite certain it is important to welcome owners enthusiastically as they are the valuable clients, (I'm a former hotel executive), but all guests should feel that they are important. Leo didn't give me that feeling. The directions as where to park was most confusing. We could have entered the parking deck right of the main lobby building as we discovered later. Instead we drove around trying to figure out where our building was and where to park based on the directions given. The other small issue was that our room was not ready until after 7pm. All other staff we encountered were friendly. We did not use the restaurant or the market area. I gave this 4 dots because of my impression of Leo's attitude at check in otherwise our stay was great. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!!

Not cleaned Been to the resort over 10 times first time disappointed with the room. With covid you would think the bathroom floor would be clean, cabinets cleaned after each use and counter tops would be better cleaned

Loved the location and staff! Our family's first time in Myrtle beach. Loved the location of this hotel, close to many restaurants and activities. The staff was great! All but especially Rick, Tiffany and Brian at the pool bar who worked very hard! Rooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was much smaller than typical Marriott vacation clubs, but did have many helpful items. I didn't mind the covid restrictions, in fact with our first travel in over a year, I felt safe and appreciated the measures to continue to keep me safe. I can clean my own towels and make my own bed. If you can't then don't . My family had a great time and I hope we will be back. Besides the size of the kitchen, I had two problems that made me give 4 stars not 5: the only resteraunt on property closed at 7:45 pm, after full day of driving not being able to get a meal without piling back into the car sucked. I would have really liked to know that when I checked in at 7pm. Also the beach was awesome, lifeguards great, but renting chairs and umbrellas was expensive. I feel like what we pay to stay at the hotel these should be a courtesy.
