Tiny cabins near town Nothing fancy, just a motor inn. Our first cabin smelled like cats and after some discussion we were moved to a less smelly cabin. Not a terrible stay for an overnight in Napa proper. Near town, we walked to Oxbow for dinner.

Awful I should have completed thorough research of this place to stay. And since I did not, that is why I stumbled on the most terrible place to stay. My first time coming to Napa and the place I selected to stay. Reminds me of a third world habitat. The only exception is that I was able to have running in-door plumbing. There is too much to talk about that was wrong, I'm just going to state if you are planning a nice getaway to the Wine Country. Please do not select Discovery Inn as you place of stay. You will do better at a motel 6. Felicia

Stay Away Worst possible stay. Horrible check in experience with the owner, he’s extremely rude and very unprofessional. The booking was done online and the room looked very different from the photos shown. They are rude, deceiving, and not worth the money. Stay away

Do not stay here I would strongly recommend against staying at this property. We travel quite a bit, often staying at a mix of higher and lower priced accommodations and finding the good in them. We wanted to love this place. But the gentleman managing it seems to want to do everything to prevent that. On Saturday afternoon (busiest day of the week), with people sitting outside to relax.. he proceeds to direct his maintenance man to use a gas powered leaf blower for an hour within 5 feet of guests sitting outside - the noise and junk blown in the air were intolerable. We asked politely for them to perhaps do this another time and were abruptly told no. In addition, the same gentleman, after asking and establishing that we did NOT want room service earlier in the day, knocked and keyed into our room before my wife, who was alone, could even answer the door. When I asked him about this event, (again politely), he lied and said he didn't do it and then said "I was doing room service. I'm sorry...what do you want me to say?"...and then followed me across the parking lot, repeating the same thing. It was bizarre and uncomfortable. He had NO room service cart and we never saw him do room service (some very nice women with carts did room service). Again, we did not have expectations of anything special and wanted to enjoy what we knew would be a low key property. They (he) did everything to ensure that we did not. Bordering on bizarre - we were actually a little scared of him.

Absolute horrible management Attended my son’s graduation at Oregon State University and decided to stay a few days in Napa on our way home to San Diego. After a 9 hr drive, we arrived at the motel. I went inside the lobby and met with owner. He asked how many persons in my group and I replied 3 just like the reservation request. He stated I was wrong and only requested 2 persons and therefore an additional $30 per night. He then started raising his voice and throwing documents, he was absolutely unprofessional, insulting and ignorant. Perhaps he did not like my dark skin. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Absolute horror of a human being.
