Noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Half the building faces the highway which is where I was given a room. Noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Half of the building faces the highway which is where I was given a room. Had it not been so late and with hindsight I would have changed rooms maybe to the back side but I’m not sure if that would have solved the issue. It sounded like the traffic was driving through the room all night even with the shades closed. The general appearance of the hotel seems newer but it could have been cleaner. I’m not sure if they were renovating the hot tub by the pool or what but it was closed. Breakfast was a joke. I bent a plastic fork trying to stab a cinnamon roll to take (since I didn’t see tongs) and there were no eggs when I got downstairs. Extremely minimal breakfast and they only put out 1 yogurt at a time in the refrigerator. If they are cutting back on breakfast this bad it makes me wonder what else they are cutting back on. When I went to check out there were no questions asked about the stay, she just accepted my room key and gave me a “thanks”. These days where there is virtually no opportunity for customer interaction this seemed like a missed opportunity, but that’s just my opinion..

Okay for a quick stay while passing through We came down to Ohio to see the eclipse and this was the closest hotel we could get to center of the totality. This was our backup location to view it in case we couldn't find a spot closer. The hotel was okay. It looks to be an older hotel and the walls are extremely thin. Our room was on the north side and it had a nice view of the pond across the expressway. The unfortunate part was the expressway, as it had constant but intermittent traffic that you could hear throughout the night. This made getting to sleep a bit difficult because as the traffic would die down and you'd think you could fall asleep, an 18 wheeler or 3 three would rush by again. The room was clean and kept up. The bathroom was a bit updated but the tub had several chips in the porcelain and needed updating. We could clearly hear our neighbors on both sides even though they were only coughing or talking an a normal voice. We stayed two nights and the morning hot breakfast was again just okay. The food did seem to be running low and there was a limited selection to begin with. The pool area looked nice but there were some areas under construction, which is just timing on our part, but they were well marked. The area of the hotel was mainly industrial and had a lot to do with trucking so considering that it was a very nice stay.

Keep Driving This location does not meet the standards of the Holiday Inn Express chain. This location appeared to be a family managed operation and run with minimum standards. The bed springs were squeaky and there were cobwebs in the room, and breakfast did not meet my expectations as a paying guest. Unlike the Wauseon location which gave you a selection of omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, and a variety of Danish and muffins, the Napoleon location's breakfast consisted of the same daily minimal selection of watered-down, tasteless scrambled eggs and sausage, watered-down juices, and virtually no selection of Danish except for the same cinnamon bun day after day. Comparatively, this was a 'continental breakfast' at best. In short, keep driving and reward yourself with a better experience elsewhere.

Huge safety issues and ride front desk staff Wen we arrived our hotel room door did not need a key to open, we simply pushed it and it easily opened. We told the front desk on the day we arrived, the fix we were told was to pull the door extra hard—which we had already tried multiple times. Two days late when we checked out, no one had come to fix it and the door still could be pushed to open. The hotel was fully booked and there were no open rooms to move to. The front desk staff was horribly unhelpful. The walls in the hotel are extremely thin, I could hear entire conversations in the room next door. We were staying at the hotel for a baton competition, we did not get back to the hotel until after 10pm. The kids needed showers and to get to bed. Just the normal movement in the room caused the people in the room below to complain that we were being loud and that we were stomping around. No one was stomping, the tv was off, there was no music being played, I had two sixteen year old girls in the room with me, they were trying to get ready for bed, they had to be up early the next day—no one was jumping on the bed, there is just no insulation or any any sound proofing to keep normal footsteps and moving about in the room to keep from sounding loud. There were a total of 3 people in my room that had 2 queen beds. When I went down to ask for more towels (we were only given two towels for three people) , I was told we had too many people in our room and that due to Covid ONLY two people were allowed in ANY hotel room. At that point I was done, it was more of a hassle to stay at this hotel to be close to our competition, then it would have been to stay further away and drive. Next year we will stay in Toledo and drive.
