Well, that’s a first... Thankfully, I was able to find a room for a few nights after a hurricane created contractor work for weeks. I had to come very late to check in, but had no issues getting checked in. Parking wasn’t great, but that happens when the hotel is completely booked. The weird thing was, there was a fan set up in the room- like a fan you put in a water damaged room to dry the carpet. Very odd. No mention of it at check in. But the room is clean. I have no real complaints

Lowered Expectations Hotel is NASTY. Smells bad, room is sub-par. Tried to cancel... they stated I would be charged for a night. I will be disputing the charges. Couldn’t bring myself to sleep at this place. Called IHG... they sympathized but couldn’t stop the charges. If you stay here... definitely lower your expectations.

Family visit When we checked in, we were put on the first floor. My husband ask that they change it to second or third floor. When we got to the room, we had two double beds....okay. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. As we were bringing up our luggage, the second time we brought some items to the room, the door wouldn't open. I tried several times to open it and it finally worked. We had bought a DVD to watch since the room had a DVD player. It worked, but no sound. I tried to call the desk, and the room phone wasn't working. I guess the worst thing about it was the smell. The hotel smelled of old sweaty socks and cigarettes. After being out on Saturday, we came back to our room to the sound of a boom box next door and the very strong smell of someone smoking in their room wafting all over the second floor.
