Swift Response and Action My family frequent calls Hampton Inn home when we’re on the road and have experienced many properties across several states. This property is visibly upon entry, but for what they lacked in curb appeal they made up for with care from the team. We encountered several issues during our stay and post-visit, the GM Anil was very accessible and acted promptly with a sense of urgency to resolve our issues. Because of that, Anil and his team have won our business anytime we visit New Braunfels moving forward. Sometimes it’s about the people and not the property.

Be warned…your car may get broken into The bed was very comfortable and we liked the hotel, but we won’t stay here again. When we went to our car after checking out, we discovered our car had been broken into. They stole our tail lights and broke the driver’s side lock. We could not get replacements and had to drive 250 miles home without them. The police officer that came to take our report said this is a common occurrence in New Braunfels. If you stay here, do not park near the road. Park as close to the hotel as possible.

Will not stay here again. Hampton Inns used to offer dependable quality. Now, they seem to vary greatly and the location in New Braunfels is a weak link. There was nothing terrible, it was just a bunch of things. There was a ceiling leak in the area where the ice machine was and the moldy ceiling indicated it was an ongoing problem. Breakfast was skimpy with no fridge for cold foods (they were in a bowl), no peanut butter, watery "orange juice." When we got there, the breakfast staff lined up to make their own waffles so we gave up waiting and ate something else. (I have never seen staff eating during guest breakfast hours.) The tile in the bathroom was raised so you could not close the door. There was an alarm that kept going off in one of the elevators. We stay at Hiltons and Hamptons often, but this one is not up to standard. (The Hilton Garden Inn, about a mile away, is a great alternative.) Our final bill for one night with AAA discount was $180. This hotel was NOT worth that. We do not recommend and will not return.

It's the Attention to Details That Count My family and I stay at Hampton Inn and Suites properties quite often when we travel. The properties are always clean and neat, and mostly up to date. The property in New Braunfels, Texas had a number of "misses". First, the entrance is accessed either by driving through a gas station or a strip center that faces Hwy 46. It is NOT clearly marked, and although we could see the hotel from the road, we made several attempts to enter the parking lot before we found the right way in. Check in was efficient, and it was nice that we had a full housekeeping service each day of our stay. I do appreciate that many hotels have gone to full-size lotions, etc, and that seems to generate less waste, which is a good thing. I really wish that these items were unscented. The hand soap and body lotion available was so highly scented that I didn't want to use it. I'm not usually scent sensitive, but those two lotions were so strong that they were unbearable. Also, there were several facial cleansing bars at the sink, which we opened and used each day, but were picked up and tossed by housekeeping. And, towels were hung to be reused, and they were taken and replaced by housekeeping as well. Seems so wasteful. Bare light bulbs were overhead in the desk area, which seemed both unsightly and a little dangerous. And on our check-out day, housekeeping knocked at our door before 9am when checkout was not even for another couple of hours. We had had a busy day and late night the day before, and didn't appreciate the wake up earlier than planned. Lastly, breakfast options were pretty boring - not up to the Hampton Inn quality that we're used to.

Nope out of there We visit New Braunfels twice per month and stay over. We thought we'd try the Hampton Inn. After getting situated in the room, we noticed a huge stain on the carpet. Being this property was supposedly recently remodeled, we found that strange. Then, our son was playing with one of his toys next to the sofa and the wall. We noticed he was trying to shove something into the wall, and when we went to stop him, discovered an electrical outlet didn't have a cover! He could have been electrocuted. Huge liability for the hotel. So when we got ready for bed, we folded down the comforter only to discover there was some yellowish dried substance on it mixed with what appeared to be blood. It still gives me the creeps trying to figure out what it was. Call it the "ick" factor, but I'm not going there. Told the front desk when checking out. They did nothing. Since we stay 2 nights per month at a hotel in NB, that works out to about $3K in lost revenue for this property as we won't be staying again.
