Perfect and nice location at end of culdesac. New Haven is on the bypass around Ft Wayne on the East side. Single room and business traveler. Room and hotel is spotless. Tina and Jessica are the front desk staff and they were very friendly and should receive accolades from management. A family was checking in when I arrived. Nice place for a break from the highway.

If you don’t mind staying at a fixer upper….. We previously stayed in wonderful HIE hotels in South Dakota in June so we thought we would try one on true way home from VA. Well this was the wrong one to pick! The web site said the pool was closed but that was fine we didn’t want to use it. What it didn’t say was that the entire hotel was going through partial hodgepodge renovation. The first clue should have been just a few cars in the parking lot. Nothing we could do, we got a non-refundable room. The front desk staff were awesome. When I asked what was going on, the gal at the desk was vague and when I had the chance to talk to her again she was desperate to say “we are trying”….with fingers crossed. So we were put at the end of the 3rd floor but the blinds didn’t cover the window and there was only one blind not the double. So we were moved to the first floor. The room had newish beds and some remodeling done, but the carpet was filthy. I wore socks most of the time but in the morning my feet were filthy just walking around the room! The water pressure was very low and there was light all around the door when it was closed. The beds were so high we had to climb in and pull ourselves up. We are 5’4” so anyone shorter would have needed help. Ridiculous! For one night it was ok but I would never stay there again! So disappointed! Not worth what we paid that night for sure. Funny, didn’t get a survey for my stay so I came here to leave my feedback.

Charged for a cancelled room. 14 days still no refund!! Cancelled my room and was still charged. Currently on day 14 of trying to get my money refunded. Told to talk to manager Trish. She never answers the phone and doesn't call back. Talked to her once on the phone and sent copies of proof and still no response. 6/3 - Checked my Discover card and it shows that the charge was manually entered on 6/01. Called the front desk and was told I have to talk to Trish that they would give her the message. Didn't hear from Trish. 6/4 - Called front desk. Told to talk to Trish and would give her a message. I told her I had copies of everything and she said to text to that number and she would look into for me that evening. 6/12 - I texted photos to her and have yet to hear anything back. 6/14 - Texted again and received response about family emergency would address first thing Thursday morning. Pool still down! I was here back in 2020 and the pool was down. Came back February 2022, and it’s still down. If the plan is to get rid of it, they should take it completely off the website instead of just stating it is down. Other than that, check in was fine, room was clean, and breakfast was typical continental style.

Bright Lights and Lots of Trucks I rented a room at this hotel just a couple of miles from my home due to some work that was being done on my home. It was not the first time I had been there. However, it was the worst experience I had ever had at a hotel. Upon arriving to my room I noted that the window drapes were open and the huge lights from the Fed Ex Terminal across the street were shining right in. I tried to shut the drapes but the chains did not work and I could not reach the bottom of the shade to pull it down. I called the front desk and she came up and fixed the situation right away. I am generally a pretty deep sleeper but all night long I heard trucks coming and going. They could have been on the highway near the hotel, too. Also, I could hear the other rooms from mine. You know, toilets flushing, showers going off and on etc. There were only about 10 cars there that night so it would seem to me that they could have put everyone on the other side of the hall and spaced them out with a room in between. Also the hotel is 3 stories. I'd like to say the room was clean and it was mostly..just some cookie crumbs on the carpet that I stepped in every time I got into bed. Oh well, better luck next time.
