Mixed Experience - Underwhelming Hotel We stayed at Le Méridien New Orleans and had a mixed experience that really came down to the people. Check-in was handled by Ms. Joy, who explained everything, including the resort fees and daily credit. Early check-in was not an issue, which we appreciated. However, when we asked for a room in a quiet location, she refused to check availability and instead stated that the hotel was at capacity. We went to the bar afterward and met Raven. While she wasn’t very friendly at first, she completely turned it around—warming up, offering great restaurant and activity recommendations, and making sure our drinks were exactly to our liking. Tawana, who was also working the bar, was very nice and welcoming from the beginning. Shane, the assistant manager for the bar/restaurant, greeted us and checked in to make sure our stay was going well throughout our visit. While sitting at the bar, Jasmin, the Director of Front Office, came over to speak with us and immediately resolved our room issue by getting us a better room. She even took care of our drinks, which was a special and much-appreciated touch. Bartenders Vegas and Brandon were also great—thanks for the extra chips, Brandon! Cons: • No working ice machine; ice must be picked up from the front desk • No bathroom in the lobby (you have to go to the second floor) • Daily housekeeping must be requested Overall, the hotel itself is decent, and several staff members truly went above and beyond. However, due to the inconsistencies, I would not stay here again.

Top-Tier Service That Makes You Want to Come Back The entire bar staff was incredible—Vegas, Paul, Brandon, and Raven truly made the experience special. The front desk agents were just as amazing. Shoutout to Ms. Joy and Coreyelle for their outstanding hospitality! Although the elevators were not working during my stay, the staff went above and beyond to get guests up and down as efficiently as possible, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Huge cheers to Kenny for providing top-tier leadership and service as GM. Because of the exceptional team and overall experience, I will definitely be back to visit the property. Note: The destination fee is applied as a $25 daily credit toward food and beverage, along with other perks. Elite members also receive a $30 breakfast voucher, which is more generous than what’s offered at any other “luxury” Marriott property in downtown New Orleans.

Mixed experience First off, all staff were very friendly and accommodating...except for one person at reception. Otherwise, very good experience with people. Location: For us. About 10-15 minute walk to the best sites of the French Quarter. So we didn't get the noise or the one way streets of the old town. Really easy to get back on the highway or leave town if you have day trips or business outside of the city. Only problem is that it's $50 a day for valet parking. You don't need a car if you don't plan on leaving the city. Rooms are fine but nothing special. Clean. Except one day housekeeping missed both mine and my kids' rooms. Very annoying when we were already out of shower soap and I left a note asking them to refill it. The "restaurant" is more of an extension of the bar. Food is ok but New Orleans has so many choices within walking distance for cheaper. Gym is ok but two of the five treadmills were out. There are machines and free weights. Now the real problem. The elevators were funny all five days we were there. Sometimes not running at all. Sometimes not going higher than the fourth floor. Our solution? We sent our one kid running down 12 flights of stairs to the lobby, then he'd get in the elevator and take it to the 12th floor to get us. When the elevators weren't working at all, we'd take the service elevator. Which had a huge line because 24 floors of rooms can't use just two elevators!! It took us about 40 minutes to leave the hotel because we had our luggage and had to make multiple trips and multiple waits between those trips. The first two days it was funny. By day 5, very annoying.

Exceptional Service ! Exceptional service makes all the difference, and this stay truly stood out. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that service is taken seriously at Le Méridien New Orleans. At check-in, the manager on duty personally introduced themselves, setting the tone for a stay defined by attentiveness and professionalism. A special and well-deserved shout-out to Tiara, who delivered nothing short of five-star service. I asked her a lot of detailed (and admittedly tough) questions about cabana rentals once the weather hit nearly 80 degrees for the third day in a row—in December. Tiara transparently shared that she was new, yet immediately assured me she would stay with my questions until I was completely satisfied. She did exactly that, never once showing stress or allowing her tone to shift. Her composure, follow-through, and commitment were outstanding. Throughout my stay, the evening and overnight teams consistently checked in to see if I needed anything—every shift, without exception. To cap it all off, the General Manager, Kenneth Jacques, sought me out near the end of my stay to personally thank me and welcome me back. That level of leadership presence is rare and deeply appreciated. In a city—and a world—full of hotel choices, this property is a clear standout for service. Thoughtful, human, and genuinely warm hospitality from top to bottom. Well done, Le Méridien New Orleans. — Jeremy W. Marriott Ambassador Elite Member
