A spotless budget hotel that checks all the boxes I stayed at this spotless budget hotel checks all the boxes while passing through on a motorcycle trip. The gentleman working the front desk couldn't;t be any warmed or efficient. The hotel is undergoing an update, but that had no impact at all on my stay. It's your typical Microtel, so the room is a little on the small side with a queen bed, but it met my needs perfectly. I'm just sleeping there. There is an Applebee's just steps from the front door, but I chose to eat local and ate at Veigel's Kaiserhoff, a landmark German restaurant two miles away downtown. It's also about a mile away from the Schell's Brewery and beer garden. I didn't eat breakfast there, but I'm sure it was the usual complimentary one. I just can't eat that them. I'd stay here again at this well-run hotel if I was passing through.

Bad place to stay I arrived the evening of Aug 7th the roads coming in via GPS were block off due to construction, Tried calling hotel to find proper way in, no answer. Found t he way in property is nice lots of stuff around it. Lady at front desk was very unfriendly and seemed to be in a mood, I just let it go. Roo. Was nice but heard every door slam and every noise , the hotel is under renovation but did not hear any of that. In middle of the night a car alarm started going off and continued for almost an hour on and off. Get up the next morning go to elevator and waited 2 mins it never came I started hearing banging and never saw anything stating it was out of aervice. as I was on 2nd floor I had to use the stairs. The hallway floors filthy so where the floors on the stairs. I get to the desk to check out and tell the female at desk that there is no out of service sign on 2nd floor but there is one on first floor, she begins to argue with me that there was one there when she started shift I politely tell her there is not one visible at the moment, she begins to argue again. I firmly tell her I am not making this up nor is it worth arguing about she begins to argue about it again and goes one efensive to defend her self. I again tell her well ma'am if it is there it is not on the buttons or visible. She would not let it go. Checks me out and I say have a good day and get nothing.

Worst place ever Got up Monday morning to take a shower, no hot water. Talked to the desk clerk and she told me that there should be hot water. I told her that is true there should be but there isn’t any. She said she would talk to the manager to get the rate lower. When I looked at my credit card statement I was charged full price. I called the hotel and got the run around and she said I had to talk to the manager who conveniently wasn’t there. Other problems, sour milk (tried 4 cartons), dirty towel under sink, back door not secured, rude staff. I suggest if you’re thinking of staying there, turn and run from the idea.
