Don’t book this hotel if your schedule is packed or if you are an impatient guest Unacceptable elevator system The elevator system is very scary as one of the elevators is under repair for a few months now. During peak hours in the am and evening the wait will be at least 15-20 mins. If you are in a hurry with suitcases to airports or trains be prepared to leave at least 30 mins Some will just walk down the stairs (this hotel has 40 floors tall !

Hotel Review – Stay from July 25–27, 2025 This was my second time staying at this hotel. I was checked in by a very professional front desk agent (unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name), who provided all the necessary information clearly and courteously. The location is a highlight — just steps from Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and right next to Port Authority. It’s surrounded by many restaurants and easy access to public transportation. While the area does have a noticeable presence of homeless individuals, they appeared harmless during my visit. As with any major city, I recommend using common sense, especially if you're out late at night. The rooms are equipped with a mini kitchenette, which is a big plus. It includes a full-size fridge, sink, two-burner stove, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. They also provide silverware, dishes, mugs, pots, dish detergent, and a sponge — very convenient for longer stays. That said, there are quite a few areas that need improvement. The room I stayed in (Room 304) wasn’t fully functional. There was what appeared to be an empty drawer on top of the desk, but I couldn’t determine it’s purpose. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The in-room phone had no cord — it seemed more decorative than operational. The bathroom design was also questionable. There were no proper shelves in the shower to place toiletries, so I had to balance my soap on the safety bar. I initially thought there was no towel rack, but later found it oddly placed behind the bathroom door — out of sight and far from the shower, where it would have been more useful. The room didn’t include laundry bags, and the only toiletries provided were a hand soap and a single makeup remover pad — thankfully, I brought my own toiletries. Whoever installed the kitchen drawers didn’t consider functionality: opening them fully is blocked by the dishwasher door, making it hard to access utensils unless you reach deep inside. The lobby was constantly busy, and only two elevators were operational. Thankfully, I was on the 3rd floor and could take the stairs. During my stay, the mobile key system was also down. Despite the flaws, I have to say the bed, comforter, and pillows were very comfortable. Even with some noise from what seemed to be a housekeeping closet nearby, I still managed a good night’s sleep — probably due to how tired I was. In conclusion, while the hotel has many conveniences and a prime location, there are operational and maintenance issues that need to be addressed. I’m willing to give them another chance in the future to see if they’ve improved.

I was charged $250 as a deposit on 22nd June and post the check out on 2nd july, I have not received any refund till date. On contacting mariott they redirected me to my booking agency which has got nothing to do with the deposit as it was charged on my card by the hotel upon arrival. There was no charge in my invoice during my check out, so there should be no deduction from my deposit as well. I really don't understand this policy and reading other reviews assures some sort of purposeful delay in all deposits.

Good facilities bad staff Great facility, but the staff is terrible. They gave me a camera with a non-working stove, and we had to cook on it for two hours each time. I had to ask them to fix it four times before getting a negative response. They told me it was impossible to find a replacement part during my stay. So in all of New York City, in a 20-day period, you couldn't find an ignition valve for an induction stove? Really unbelievable. The reception staff was really poorly organized; it seemed like the morning staff worked in a different place than the afternoon staff, and communication was non-existent. The most annoying person was the guy who seemed to be the front desk manager (I think he was, the hierarchy wasn't clear, but he worked as if he were in charge). He was really arrogant and unaccommodating, more focused on being nice to the ladies than on solving problems. And last but not least, I have to mention the elevator, which is truly embarrassing. It takes 40 minutes to get down because the staff has the keys and can do whatever they want, skip floors and leave paying customers stranded. There's really a lot that needs to be done regarding the level of service.
