Good experience Our stay was on 12/21. The room was clean, and they served bagels and muffins in the morning with coffee and tea. However, they don't have parking and don't have partnerships with local parking. I parked the car on the next block up at Laz and was $70 for 24hrs.

A Great Stay As many have said the hotel is rather dated but clean. We were impressed how large the rooms were having suffered tinyNew York rooms on previous visits ( different hotels). Staff friendly and helpful and would definitely stay again. Yes there is street noise however this is New York and to be expected. Only negative comment is regarding single use plastics - bathroom toiletries, plastic cups, breakfast spoons etc.

I would go back. After a twelve hour journey, all that the Reception required was any formal ID for my earlier reservation and I was in. My spacious room (211) overlooked the Manhattan 7th Avenue. I had a comfy double-bed and a nice modern bathroom with reliable hot water & courtey soaps etc. Used towels were changed every day. While US & European plumbing are to different designs, the US single-faucet (tap) are usually the same: turn hard-left for hot and work forward. There was no bedroom central ceiling light but you can move the table-lamps around the various wall-sockets to suit. The air-conditioning unit is mounted under the window. There was no courtesy room-kettle etc and the inclusive 'European' breakfast is not available before 0800-1000. However, me being an early starter, there are no shortage of takeaways at the (7th Ave/23rd St) junction. I used the friendly 24/7 Chelsea Pappaya on the opposite corner. Street noise: W 23rd St/7th Ave is 'Mid-town' Manhattan and is therefore busy i.e. bus routes in both roads. Evenings are fairly busy with people socialising and traffic. It is fairly quiet from 11:00pm - 0700am. The Hotel's glazing is not the latest type with sound reduction. Therefore if you think you will be disturbed, the Hotel has one room on each floor that does not overlook either road.; this can be arranged at the the time of booking. Meanwhile all staff were eager to help make my stay enjoyable. I would go back.

Fantastic small hotel in an ideal location Really appreciated the service (staff) and location of this lovely, small hotel. The rooms are older, but well kept, and the staff and overall upkeep of the hotel make up for it. They are also quite large for NYC standards. We were 5 in a room and there was no issue with bringing us extra towels, pillows, etc. The location (right beside a main subway line) is ideal and there are LOTS of spots to grab a bite in the neighbourhood from fresh markets to $1.50 pizza rolls upscale pubs and restaurants. The breakfast provided (muffins and bagels) is fresh and a great way to start your day in a hurry. The staff encouraged us to use the breakfast room to eat our takeout food one night, we felt right at home. Would recommend this hotel for a stay in NYC.

More like a hostel/motel I hate to write one of the worst reviews of a hotel I have ever written because the staff were very lovely and nice - things were out of their immediate control. This is a very dated motel style hotel that is in serious need of updating. I walked into my tiny room and the walls were empty except for the hooks that used to hang that art. Pretty ghettttto. The internet doesn't work on the 6th floor - it worked down in the lobby. Fortunately I was only there for one night. There were ANTS everywhere in the bathroom coming in and out of the cracks. Positives: nice wide bathtub, staff, location. Everything else is like a hostel
