Horrific Experience - Will Never Stay at this Location Again! I have stayed at this specific hotel about six times in the last year, as my son lives literally 2 blocks over. I just spent 4 nights there with my 80 year old mother to visit my son. I was just notified that they charged me a $250 plus tax "smoking fee"! I have asthma and haven't smoked a day in my life - and neither has my mother. Neither of us have ever vaped, either, and we don't bring candles to hotels. I called and spoke to the "John" the manager - and he told me they use a "3rd party system that is never wrong"! Well...I'm telling you, it was wrong! He refused to do anything about the charge at all. Not that it should matter, but I'm a Platinum Marriott Bonvoy Member with both a personal and business Marriott credit cards...and as I said - would stay in this specific hotel several times a year. The manager didn't give a rats patootie and couldn't have cared less! I have refuted the charge on my Amex for them to fight for me. I know this location is a franchise, and I will NEVER stay there again - and will tell the families of my son's 3 roommates never to stay their either. What horrible customer service and way to turn a "fan" into a "foe". Marriott should hold their franchise owners to a better level of service than this!!

Motel with marriot name The looby is nice and check in was seem less, the hallways had unpleasant musty smell, the room is small and the furniture is old. The floorcaroet was full of stains at least the part we can see. The bathroom was not clean. And towels had yellowish discoloration. My wife was hesitatnte to shower, and it took a lot to get her to do it. We didn't plan this trip to new York Our connecting flight to Dallas cancelled and I booked this hotel from the airport, as I use the app and I have used a d marriot and its hotels always and never an issue. This would be the first unpleasant experience and I'm surprised marroit are not doing due delegance to ensure their properties or at least facilities that carry their name are up to bar and the standard is the same

This is the last time we stay here I wanted to share my unfortunate experience with this hotel. Starting with arrival, no one helped us get our 5 suitcases, and this sort of treatment continued afterwards during our stay. They did not clean our room one of the days and when we asked to clean it, they said they do not have enough staff. Our room did not have a sign to request the room to be cleaned, so we had to ask the staff. When we did ask, the staff was rude and dismissive of us, as if we were a burden to them. The AC was very loud. The shower was strange and hard to operate. The service is that of a motel, the price doesn't correspond to quality.

Home away from home! We are often in NY visiting family and the UES Courtyard is our home away from home. We are always welcomed personally by the staff and find them to be true hospitality professionals. Particularly Lisa and Willie Howard, who know how to make us feel like valued Marriott customers and friends. We look forward to each of our return visits.
