Great stay for a weekend and distance to many locations Great location and distance to Central Park. Room was clean and appropriate for stay and reason for visit. (Half marathon race) I wouldn't do more than 2-3 nights since no fridge and small space.

Studio Pod: Quiet, good location, great value for family Our family of four stayed in one of the few studio pods at this location. Glad we didn’t waste money on a more traditional hotel room. Our studio pod had a queen bed with two nightstands, two twin beds, plus a huge beanbag chair and unexpectedly large tv. Incredibly spacious room with tiny bathroom. Nice shower. Our room had windows with a street view and wood shutters. Excellent housecleaning service. Lovely reception/staff. Nothing luxurious here but everything was fresh and clean. The floors were wood laminate, which is cleaner than carpet. The queen mattress was not bad (I’m picky with a bad back); I didn’t try the twin mattresses but the kids seemed fine. Abundant fresh linens, towels, blankets. I didn’t know what to expect for sure with this place, but I was impressed overall with everything. If I could change one thing, I wish the bathroom was a little bigger. Also note that the studios are completely separate from the standard pods. The studios have no elevator, but the stairs are open and carpeted. We were on the fourth floor, which is the highest floor for the studios. Each floor appeared to have two studios for a total of eight. We heard the hotel was sold out but we never heard any neighbors. Our room was quiet and we had no issues. We found the location convenient to the subway, good food options, a small market nearby for snacks or drinks, and a cvs pharmacy at the corner. The location felt safe and quiet.

Functional and Friendly at Pod 51 I always feel groovy staying at Pod 51! At the end of a long day sightseeing, it feels like a relief to get over to 3rd Avenue, where it feels less crowded, and retire to a clean, comfy room. Functional and friendly, Pod 51 welcomes travelers for a restful night. A Texas gal can kick off her boots and wind down, while planning the next day of big city adventures. I only have a couple suggestions: 1. Some people need a fan to sleep; consider offering that. 2. Tell the cleaning crew to leave the sink stoppers in the open position, after they clean the sinks. On both stays, I had to use a coathanger to open the stopper (because you don't realize it's closed until there's a pool of water). Just minor things. *Also, y'all go get some pizza and pasta at La Pizza around the corner! Those guys are great, and they're open late! I can't wait to get back to Manhattan and stay in what I now like to call, "My little room in New York City." Tony the manager runs a clean operation -- I'm a Pod Pal for good!

Great place for the value We really like staying at the PODs. We needed a last minute accessible room, and they were very accommodating. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here.
