Great location, good price --- but fuggedaboutit anyway! The location is excellent, but otherwise this hotel is Days Inn caliber, not IHG caliber. The room was stark, cold and unimpressive. I had three nights of reservations (separate one / two). I started off by getting walked, to the Hyatt, which is bad, but things went downhill from there when I came back. They put me in an "upgraded" room; if that's an upgrade, I'd hate to see a "downgrade" room. The heater sounded like a jet engine, and I needed a screwdriver to access the controls, which weren't temperature-based. The room desperately needs a few rugs, and some art on the walls. The door provided no soundproofing, so even though I was at the end of the hall I heard every door on the floor slamming, all day and night. A most unpleasant stay.

Not the best….. Came here for my 40th Birthday. Location wise this hotel is 10/10. Close to everything you need and would want to visit. Views from our room were great but that’s really where the good review stops. Main reception is modern and clean and from the outside you would think “this is going to be great inside” but unless you pay $100 of dollars extra for a newly renovated room 18th floor upwards, your in for a surprise. The first room we were allocated had the heating system blowing full heat and no thermostats to even turn off. Allocated to another room which was bigger but just as grubby. It was a room which had a door linked to another and could hear everything from next door! Walls are thin. Moth eaten curtains, grubby carpets, towel rails hanging off the wall, shower from the 1900’s, everything just tired looking and absolutely not how the rooms are advertised on their site. Thankfully the location was perfect and didn’t spend too much time in the room, but this hotel is false advertising. Disappointing after the initial cost and a further $250 local tax….rip off really! Overpriced for what you get.

Zero customer service Dreadful!! I’m actually writing this review on behalf of my son who stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for his 21st birthday. I emailed the hotel the week before to let them know that the day of his arrival would be his 21st birthday and requested if they could do anything to make his stay extra special, the told me the booking was noted. Come check in they had done nothing which was very disappointing, then on 9th I contacted them on behalf of my son as he had not been provided with the room he had booked and paid for and the tap in the bathroom was constantly dripping, I waited 6 hours no response, emailed again and was informed it had been past to the relevant team, again I emailed back asking when this relevant team would be in touch only to be ignored yet again. Clearly customer service isn’t high on their agenda, my son is now home from his trip and I still a wait my response from the infamous relevant team who by now probably don’t care as they’ve had their money from the travel agency it was booked through. Also be aware the pictures of the rooms are very deceiving as my son booked the hotel based on them as it looked very clean and modern but the hotel is currently under renovation so he was in put in some shabby dated room, booked a king room was put in a double and spent 3 nights listening to the sound of a dripping sink tap, what a great stay NOT!! Oh well you live and learn I suppose

Mohammed made our stay special The hotel is going under some renovations, so expect some noise during the night. We had been given a horrible room on the sixth floor and at first, a young man at the front desk refused to switch us to a different one. But thanks to the kindness of Mohammed, we were given a very nice room on the 14th floor with a great view. Mohammed truly made our stay special. There should be kind people just like him at every hotel.
