Be aware Beware of hidden costs – deposit not refunded Review: The best thing about this hotel is its location – right in the heart of Times Square, which made getting around New York really convenient. The concierge and cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. However, that’s unfortunately where the positives end. The rooms look nothing like the modern photos advertised – they are very dated, tired, and in desperate need of refurbishment. The hotel is under renovation, so apart from the lobby, lifts, and our rooms, we didn’t really get to experience much else. Breakfast was extremely disappointing – instead of a proper dining setup, it consisted of standing in a long queue with a voucher just to get a coffee and a pastry. It honestly felt like queueing up for school dinners. The biggest issue was with the deposit. Be aware: the money you put down is not returned as expected. I am currently in dispute with the hotel, as they insist it was refunded, but my bank statements clearly show otherwise. This added an unexpected £300 cost to my stay, which was never communicated properly. The hotel management’s communication throughout this process has been terrible. Overall, despite the location, I would not recommend this hotel. Had I known about the hidden costs and the state of the rooms, I would have chosen somewhere else – even a budget hostel would have been a better experience. Worst hotel of our college tour We paid over $350 for a room with a stinky bathroom, a broken sliding door that wouldn’t close, and a stinky smell that filled the entire room. Housekeeping never came despite multiple requests. The hair dryer was broken, and even after asking for a replacement, none was delivered. My kids refused to shower, and several of us couldn’t sleep because of the odor. Poor service and lack of response made this worse than any hotel or Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I will not book through IHG again. Breakfast was grab-and-go with a long wait. When it was finally our turn, the staff member was visibly impatient and dismissive. If I had known the service would be like this, I would have skipped it altogether.

Marginal hotel 3 stars at best The hotel needs a lot of repairs, carpet patched together and dirty, no WIFI in my room, TV couldn't get signal, room coffee was small but ok as it got you going, receptions desk rushed and mostly grumpy, breakfast should have been included with my reservation but I was never on the list, due to my key deactivating 3 times the manager put me on the breakfast list but when I went for my breakfast I was not on the list had to go to the receptionist and they yelled she is OK, breakfast was bad never went again, panel plate above the elevator was missing could only see lots of dust, paint peeling off the ceiling, the reason I gave it 3 stars is that it was central to my activities, would not recommend for a family or anyone spending time inside the hotel. The photos on line look great, but the hotel is not great inside. Outside looks ok.

MANHATTAN FLOPHOUSE OMG where do I start? This hotel is a cut above a flop house. It offers nothing but used soap in shower, zero amenities( tooth brush, lotion, shampoo). The old TV picture kept fading out, the ice bucket was in room with no plastic and of course no ice machine that worked. Forget calling front desk or housekeeping because no-one answers phone. No coffee or rolls but you can buy from a vendor. No lobby that you can sit down to checkin . The foreingners that are at desk will smile after a complaint and nothing is done. They charged me an additional e $50 for whatever they said, but it was never refunded as it was stated. The carpet is vacummed but dirty along with the curtains . Don't let the outdoor pics you see fool you. The hotel(flophouse) is in a good spot and that's why they don't care. The cleaning staff only makes the bed and change towels. My advice bring everything you need, including Lysol. Better yet, find another place. Thankful to be back in THE CHI !

Beautiful Outer Views & Good Location The Hotel is beautiful from the outside with beautiful city views from the 16th floor. It is very conveniently located near Columbus Circle, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and Ellen’s Starduster Diner! Great location for walkers. I arrived by a Red Eye flight from the West Coast and Front Desk early check-in was met with ease and compassion by Senka. Despite difficulties with the check-in process and crowds attempting to check out/in, she was committed to assisting me in getting checked in so I may recover and refresh for my conference the following days. My only downside is that the hotel is in need of updated decor, painting, and carpeting which would do wonders for its reputation and star rating.
