Disappointing, terrible experience with ZERO facilities What the pictures that the hotel advertises is NOT what you will currently get. The hotel is under renovations. I have no issue with this but we booked 5 months before travel and were not told the hotel would have zero facilities. Though you will of course still get charged the $45 facility fee for each day of your stay before you leave. I had requested to move hotel and was told to take it up with my travel agent. Which I did and they struggled to get anyone to speak to them and eventually were told we would still be charged for the remainder of our stay under the cancellation policy. So we were held to rights on that but they accepted no responsibility for what effectively is false advertising on this hotel as they do not tell you that all you will have is access to a lift and your room. We paid for breakfast, but of course were not informed that this would be by collection at reception and put in a brown paper bag to eat in your room. My husband fancied a cup of tea and an orange juice but was duly told four guests four drinks (quite aggressively). Staff on reception were rude, let me stand for some time and had no intentions of helping. We were on an international evening flight and when we came back to collect bags there wasn't even a restroom we could use and anyone who has visited NYC will know that without purchasing something it is difficult to find a restroom. The best part about this hotel is location and I have no doubt when the renovations are complete it will be a nice place to visit, but until then this hotel needs to BE HONEST with its guest when they are booking!!! Very very disappointed visitors:(

Old, Sad and depressing. False advertising at its best! Please do not waste your money! Please do not book your holiday at this hotel. The pictures are definitely not the same hotel! Our room was old and dirty. The walls were brown and stained, the curtains were old and had several holes, the net curtains were yellow due to cigarette smoke, the carpets were stained, the bathroom was from the 50s and in desperate need of repair! The list goes on and on! I booked a package with breakfast. What I did not expect was to stand in a queue to be handed a drink old piece of fruit and a cheap pastry! When I tried to address the issues I was informed by a passive aggressive receptionist to address the concerns with the travel agent. I explained that if the real pictures were used to advertise the hotel nobody would book to stay there. The only decent thing about the hotel is the location. I am absolutely shocked that they are getting away with false advertising time and time again. I have read reviews on Booking.com and everyone is saying exactly the same as me. The response from the hotel is always the same but I doubt they will address the concerns. There are so many hotels in Manhattan to choose from so please take this review seriously and book else where.

Beautiful Outer Views & Good Location The Hotel is beautiful from the outside with beautiful city views from the 16th floor. It is very conveniently located near Columbus Circle, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and Ellen’s Starduster Diner! Great location for walkers. I arrived by a Red Eye flight from the West Coast and Front Desk early check-in was met with ease and compassion by Senka. Despite difficulties with the check-in process and crowds attempting to check out/in, she was committed to assisting me in getting checked in so I may recover and refresh for my conference the following days. My only downside is that the hotel is in need of updated decor, painting, and carpeting which would do wonders for its reputation and star rating.

**Title: Horrible Stay - Never Again!** I stayed at The Manhattan at Times Square on 8/3/2024, and it was an absolutely dreadful experience. The condition of the rooms was shocking - clearly deteriorated and in desperate need of renovation. The bathroom was unbelievably unclean, and I even found bugs crawling around, which was extremely unsettling. The entire stay was uncomfortable and certainly not worth the money. I will not be staying here again and strongly advise others to avoid this place. Definitely not worth the money!
