Best Western Plus Holiday Sands Inn & Suites

Cheerful, simple hotel delivers a happy stay and a view of the Bay I've stayed several times at this hotel, and this was the best visit yet. Since you can walk directly out to the beach, in season, it's full to the gills, but out of season, it's much calmer (though not at all deserted). The room was clean and cheerful, and contained a functional kitchen area with full-sized refrigerator. There were two queen beds, both very comfortable. The heating unit was quiet and effective on a cold December night. After being on the road for several days, I learned not to take quiet heaters for granted! Everything was clean and smelled fine. The wifi connected easily and worked well (I did not test streaming video). Needless to say, we slept well! In the morning, the simple breakfast was good. Their waffle mix is light and tasty, and the eggs were very fresh. They have good coffee and fresh fruit. The location is easy to access and convenient for travelers. While this is not a luxurious place, it delivered a very happy stay and a great view of the Chesapeake Bay. Note: my photos are from both summertime (when you can swim in both the Bay and the pool) and December.

All I can say about my stay is that it was great, the whole staff that I delt with went above and beyond. Thanks and I . The rooms were very clean, breakfast was good. The atmosphere was friendly and quiet it was also safe(I left my expensive fishing rods on my car the whole time I was there(days) ) The beach access was handy and location to the pier was good. I will be back for another stay (my 3rd time. ) Thanks again

Beautiful ocean view! We stayed for 4 nights for a long weekend vacation. We were on the first floor, oceanside. So the view included a large portion of sand dune. It was still a beautiful view! And affordable on a budget. The air conditioner made odd sounds which disturbed our sleep the first night and is the reason I didn't give a 5 star rating. This is not a high end hotel but the beds are comfortale, the room very clean and the breakfast good. The staff were also nice and mostly pleasant.

Best view and bang for your buck in Norfolk Va I always try to stay at a BestWestern because they never let me down, and this trip was no exception I was pleased with everything right down to the amazing view , I have never not been satisfied with a BW hotel and I will always go out of my way to stay at one, I find the employees to be some of the best people in the business and I know because I worked for a Quality Inn when I was younger and I am amazed to find what they did still lives in other hotels also

Tina. Front desk is the best! Tina at the front desk is AMAZING! SO caring, hands on and very proactive. She deserves a raise. Please make that happen. I WILL follow up. We will come back from Ohio just to see her. The breakfast each morning is just what we needed. It's an older hotel. But clean and the ocean view was perfect.
