Econo Lodge Little Creek

Decent, Basic Value Came here for a Friday evening stay with my wife, daughter and her infant. We liked how the room was recently renovated and clean. While the double-bed mattresses also appeared new-ish, they were basic/marble-slab firm - fine if your back needs that, but not comfortable enough for us side sleepers. Although no breakfast is offered, fresh drip-brewed coffee is provided in the lobby. There is also a good restaurant for dinner right next door: Capt Groovy.

Better than expected! Last minute stay for work in area and was better than expected. Friendly service, clean rooms, something to eat for breakfast, what more can you ask for. Would stay again when in area for business or pleasure.

Traveling for work & pleasure, LOVE THIS PLACE! The Econo Lodge in Little Creek is by far one of the cleanest, most comfortable hotels in the area! My husband and I travel to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area about once a month for work. This is def my favorite place to stay! Bed/sheets were super clean & fresh, floors were spotless, and bathroom was perfect! These rooms are very spacious and homey feeling. The staff is extra friendly and helpful and the location is peaceful. They serve a nice little breakfast in the Lobby but if you want something different, there’s a Starbucks (def a necessity lol), a Bar n Grill, and many other food/necessities within walking distance. The front parking lot is a little small but there is lots of extra parking in the back which is helpful if needed. It’s a very short drive to the beach!! You could even walk it if you don’t mind walking about a 1/2 mile but it’s like a 2 min drive and parking is free. The Cova Brewing Co and Beach park are close by! Now for my favorite part THE BEACH!!! The Chesapeake Bay beach area (beach park) by this hotel is one of the most beautiful in the area. We enjoy it more than Virginia Beach! There are beautiful rocks lined down the middle and little waves so you can relax and enjoy your time in the water. It’s not overcrowded like Virginia Beach and everyone is very friendly. Out of all the times we’ve visited this area, my husband and I both agree WE HAVE THE BEST TIME when we stay at The Econo Lodge Little Creek!

Had to cancel, was able to select new date. Made the reservation a month in advance and was obliged to cancel it 24 hours later due to family emergency. First call to cancel , I was advised to call again on following Wednesday to speak with the manager. Was not able to receive refund, but was allowed to choose alternate date at same price. OK

CLEAN,CLEAN,CLEAN Before traveling to Norfolk I spoke with my brother, who is in the Navy. I wanted to know the best place to stay. His answer surprised me. He states"XYZ because they are usually clean." I expected he would rate a place on their food or atmosphere (pool, bar etc). Not cleanliness. I started reading the reviews. Even the expensive hotels were not guaranteed to be clean. I had not even considered an Econo Lodge. This one had a good rate for cleanliness. We were not disappointed. Very clean.. The lobby even smelled clean. Not big or fancy and needs updated. Front staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was cold cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, coffee, juice and yogurt. We were happy with it. Bagels were individually wrapped so you know they were not touched by grubby little hands. No maid service. Easy walk to local restaurants. They have the old wide cast iron soaking tubs. Fridge, microwave and hair dryer good. No coffee pot. Fresh coffee in lobby.
