Mikado Hotel

Not a good stay We used to enjoy staying here because of the good location, but not this time. The first thing we noticed when we entered our room was the broken lamp (see pic). While the person behind the desk fixed it right away, this should not have happened - the housekeepers should be doing a better job of inspecting rooms. Secondly, I peeled back the bedding on one of the beds to check for bedbugs (none found), however I did see a big hole in the mattress cover/bag. This makes the mattress susceptible to infestations! Finally, the housekeeper did not leave us a new hand soap for the second night, but he/she did make up the room, so again they are not paying careful attention (as with the lamp above). Needless to say, I will be looking for a different hotel to stay at.

5 Stars A place that is a solid representation of tranquility and peace. The rooms are clean and sanitized. The environment exudes something that is not seen every day. Extremely unique. Nicely furnished. Spacious rooms, great access to parking and front desk service. 10/10 Stars.

To be expected for the price Stayed here for one night out of necessity and could not wait to check out in the morning. My hotel room was dated and dirty, with a pervasive foul odor resembling must. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. No blanket on the bed, just a sheet for a cover. Very cold in February. The sleep quality was horrible, due to extreme noise and thin walls. The front desk staff member on duty was friendly and helpful. Hence, my 2 star rating for this hotel instead of 1.

WORST HOTEL + Photo for proof DO NOT STAY HERE! The dirtiest room we’ve ever stayed in. First off, it reeks in cigarette smoke even tho it’s supposed to be a non- smoking room. Second, room was weirdly set up, spacious but in a very odd way. Third, the bed literally stinks of sweat from the previous guest, it’s so obvious they didn’t change the pillowcases and sheets. It’s disgusting! Fourth, should I even keep going?! YOU SHOULD HAVE ALREADY DECIDED NOT TO STAY HERE. Anyways, the bathroom was atleast tidied up but by the looks of the whole room I still didn’t trust it was actually clean. Fifth, the walls were stained and in very bad condition. Same as all the furniture, the 2 tables and 3 chairs were all dirty and stinky! And my goodness the floor carpet was stained all over, I swear a vacuum can’t even clean it, they need to replace the whole damn floor. Lastly, they only have 2 lamps to light up the whole room, it’s very dark, WELL WELL WELL, it’s clearly for guests to not see the condition of the whole room! Disgusting. THIS HOTEL IS A JOKE

you get what you pay for Good place to stay for the price. Just don’t expect anything fancy. Overall good. Bathroom walls can be clean every so often, but overall I give it a 8 out of a 10. They did have HBO. Which a lot of places make you pay additional for that.
