Top of Iowa is TOPS The staff is the best. They remember us from year to year. It is so nice I can trust packages arriving ahead of our visit are kept safely for us. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, too. We bring our own oatmeal and fruit due to cardiac dietary restrictions, but they do have yogurt and bananas. Thank you

Just ugh! It's obvious some updates have been attempted but it's sloppy work. Rooms tiny...the word "suite" is a joke...it's no suite. Floors are a poo-colored brown and green, green walls. It seemed clean but felt dirty and run down. The pool and hot tub were disgusting, with murky water. Breakfast was just ok. Hardly ever saw anyone at the check in deck. Asked on our first day for a lightbulb for our bathroom....never got it. All the lights are dim. Just felt icky...won't stay there again.

A good nights sleep Stopped here one night on our way home from Texas. The whole staff was great to be around. Everyone was very friendly and treated us like family. The room was clean and quiet. The shower was hot and the room was well furnished and the whole experience was good. The breakfast was fine as well. The managers were both welcoming and made sure we were satisfied with our accommodations. We will definitely return.

Do not stay here We chose to stay here as a half way mark on our trip and because it allowed dogs. They charge a fortune for their room. We had NO hot water at all. Beds were ridiculously uncomfortable. When it came to having breakfast, I tried to sit down at a table far away from the food in order to have one of my kids sit with him while I went and grabbed their food. However I was told to leave because the dog wasn’t allowed. We were on our way out so it wasn’t as if I could leave him by himself in the room. We went ahead and checked completely out so we could go grab breakfast because of the dog and when they asked how the stay was my husband told them about the no hot water situation etc and he was told to vacate the property or the police were going to be called. Just because he was complaining.

A place to sleep The front desk service was great and friendly both on the evening shift and in the morning for checkout. The beds were very uncomfortable and the AC unit was very noisy. Got about 4 hours of sleep and spent the other 3 hours tossing and turning.
