Underwhelming This hotel does not live up to the reviews. I was expecting a 4 star resort and this resort is way below 4 stars. It is old, not updated and needs repairs and painting. The restaurants are not always open on given nights and some rotate from a grill to a seafood so you are actually in the same restaurants with different menus. We nicknamed the outdoor grill "the mosquito pit" Nayarit is still under covid rules so you need to mask up before entering some restaurants. Go to PV hotel to avoid this. The beach from does not have any umbrellas, just a few palapas that don't move. The man on the beach is wonderful can't remember his name. The woman doing yoga classes is great, very nice and friendly. The staff is very good at this resort - the only thing it has going for it. I have stayed at many all-inclusive hotels including ME, Barcello, Krystle, Hyatt, Princess this is by far the worst and don't recommend it.

Good for Sleep and Spa - Don't Dine or Entertain at this Resort The rooms are delightful, nice balcony views of the beach and pool however, the breakfast buffet is TERRIBLE! The pool had no music/tunes, no swim up bar, so it's not a place to "party". Another guest told us it reminds her of a Senior Center. Basically, come to relax, and not have anything to get you excited. In the evening there is entertainment - we did Love the Fire Show acrobats! And the SPA is really nice too! Great massage, steam room, and sauna.

Very nice Gosh, I wish I could remember everyone's name at this place. We met so many nice people! Cindy, Francisco, Juana, Luz, all of the bartenders, Ramon, Africa, and so many others! Not one person did I meet that was in a bad mood or didn't speak. We stayed in the Preferred Club Ocean View Suite. It was very clean and nice. Luz took good care of us. The nightly shows were nice. The food was okay. Breakfast was the best part for me. Let me shout out Juana real quick. She was working in the snack area below the Seafood Grill. I watched her go from having no customers to like 20 people at the same time. She was by herself, but she kept calm and worked through each one of us. It was hot, she was working by the burners with no fan! High Five to her! If I could offer any feedback, I would suggest to offer some more lively events during the day. It's very quiet. I would visit this place again. Gracias por todos!!!

Wonderful vacation This was such a great resort. Perfect getaway for families and couples. A few hours drive from Guadalajara and very close to the Puerto Vallarta Airport made it very convenient. The restaurants were all very good. They have a spa and a gift shop with lots of good quality souvenirs.

Ok resort, kind and caring staff The staff were great! A special thanks to Maria, Elias, Miguel, and all the staff at Portofino - Omar, Arturo, Alfredo, Brenda, Valeria and Martin. We were very well taken care of. Our stay was enjoyable overall. The room was kept clean, although some of the furniture was broken and/or not in good condition. The shower leaked everywhere and made the floor wet, and in general the room had a mildew-y smell, although that is hard to avoid in a place so humid. We were disappointed in our inability to get food at certain hours - food could not be carried out of the buffet, and most room service was unavailable after midnight. We also were not given a very thorough tour upon arrival and there was some confusion about what amenities were available to us. We paid extra money for a Junior Suite with a partial ocean, partial mountain view and a jacuzzi on the balcony. We ended up on the first floor, directly above the pools, visible to the entire resort, unable to see the ocean or the mountains, and with a one foot deep bathtub on the balcony. Don't advertise a room like this, it is a scam.
