Luxurious but pricey! We booked this as a romantic weekend and it didn't disappoint! We were able to book this hotel through an offer on groupon which made the price more reasonable and worth it. The asking price for 1 night otherwise would not have enabled us to fully enjoy the experience. The bedroom was exceptional and had a brilliant romantic feel to it. The restaurant was also exceptional with some interesting delicacies although the portions for a normal person left you feeling slightly underfed. Great service with very helpful and polite staff. For all those planning a romantic break I would definately recommend as we had a lovely time, however only if you get a good deal on the price!

Excellent restaurant Cannot speak for the accommodation, but the lunch in the restaurant was excellent. Very good food, excellent wine and a very pleasant setting. The service was also good; slightly formal and discreet.
Not the cheapest, but worth it none the less.

Lush "Day in the Green" - Parking available too! The Beukenhof is a great venue for a smaller scale business meeting with dinner and overnight stay. Although in the centre of Oegstgeest near Leiden, it is situated in a very lush garden centered around an enormous beech tree which makes it feel like a "Day in the green". Setting is stylish and historic with a slight twist provided by the decorations.
Meeting room fits about 10-12 people comfortably and has open doors to the garden, very nice. Lunch was good and very pleasant to have an industrial style Nespresso machine in the room for continuous quality coffee supply. The beamer and projection provided was useable but some improvement is possible. De Beukenhof have their own fairly sizeable parking which is very pleasant in an somewhat urban setting. They should advertise this more!
Dinner and other catering very good, staff is very courteous and helpful. Suites are themed, historic and glorious, all fitted with coffee machine (real beans), sauna, high quality sound and vision, and separate seating and sleeping areas. Wifi was of good quality, no speed or connection problems encountered, VPN worked. Price was reasonable for this kind of quality.

Nice small antique hotel We stayed in 3 rooms early Aug. The suites are spacious with everything you need. Built-in sauna in toilet, coffee machine, B&O TV, mini HiFi, telephone (the one in my room didn't work though), just to mention a few. The 2-storey layout was especially appreciated by the kids. The double room is small.
The receptionist are very helpful, especially Jos (I hope the spelling is correct). As the others mentioned, there are steep staircases in this very old building. Jos helped us a lot in moving our lugguages into our rooms. However, 2 ladies came to take them when we checked out which was a really hard job for them. I ended up doing it myself.
The restaurant was nicely decorated but the service was not as good. We were a group of 10 and were told that the chef could not cater for a-la-carte and therefore, we were not given a menu. That means we could only choose 2 or 3 courses from the set dinner. The steak was good but we would like to try something else. It may be common in Netherlands as I visited another restaurant recommended by the hotel staff with similar experience - a group of 10 could only order the same food. I don't understand what is the difference between a group of 10 and 5 groups of 2.
Not much to see around the hotel and you definitely need a car.
